This. This is also why (in combination with the whole 12 years in Azkaban thing) I think the characterization of him as “oh, pureblood character who actually knows muggle culture as opposed to Arthur “what is the function of a rubber duck” “how does the money work at the tube station” Weasley who thinks it’s neat but doesn’t fully get it” is also inaccurate.
Sirius didn’t have a chance of much if any exposure until he was at Hogwarts. Then he spent his entire 20’s in prison where he absolutely wouldn’t have time to keep up to date on the latest muggle music/fashion/etc even if he wanted to. Sure, maybe he took to it like a fish in water when he had it, but that’s still 10 years max of exposure, mostly from other 11-17 year olds, many of whom if they knew any muggle music probably did like the poppier end of things at least in part because that’s how the stats on it work.
Not to mention, he didn’t not have cultural exposure before then. Wizarding music seems to reflect muggle music a bit, but something tells me that even if there was a Weird Sister’s equivalent for the 60’s/70’s, it probably wasn’t something getting much play time at Grimmauld, at least not with parental approval. This is a kid who turned up at 11 probably most accustomed to listening to things on the classical/jazz/easy listening end of the spectrum. You don’t immediately go from concertos and Sinatra to hardcore, not without a bridge between them.
That of course doesn’t somehow make him less punk. Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day has a musical theater/jazz background and that doesn’t mean it wasn’t punk as fuck that at early shows the band made a point of booking queer opening acts and then getting in the pit themselves to beat up the bigots turning up to give them shit. I’m not saying I don’t think he could have gotten into harder genres once he was exposed because I also had a classical background and have played in punk/goth bands. I just think odds are if he did it took a lot of habit breaking, and maybe, just maybe, he never quite took to the full heavy stuff as much as a lot of fandom likes to immediately assume because at the end of the day, while Judas Priest and X-Ray Spex and the like might piss off his parents the most, it’s an easier transition from listening to Celestina Warbeck at the most pop adjacent to liking ABBA/Cher/etc.
Actually, because of this, I think he probably took to goth/new wave/more art rockexperimental stuff better than punk. It’s a much easier adjustment going from Sinatra to Cher to Lene Lovich/Kate Bush/Yazoo, etc. It’s more melodic in a lot of ways as a general rule, there’s more obvious overlap. There was also a pretty solid British Blues scene (I.e. Dr Feelgood) that I feel like would be a logical transition point as well, not to mention I feel like Remus perpetually exists in the Mod side of things where he’d have at least some of it sitting around for it. Of the major British punk bands of his era, I feel like The Clash would be the easiest to adjust to, because again, they lean in on more melodic sounds, less intentional dissonance etc., particularly from London Calling on.
Then he goes to prison, hears nothing, experiences nothing, and gets out in the early to mid 90’s right in time for BritPop, for Pulp and Blur and Oasis and Black Grape, and I think that too would be an easy transition for him, though he’d still not have as much exposure because he’s in hiding and under what amounts to house arrest until he dies. So maybe Tonks brings him records here and there, maybe he steals an issue of NME off a newsstand here and there, but I don’t think he’s going to necessarily be more properly informed than someone like Arthur who actively has to work around muggle things, or for that matter someone like Kingsley who is actively working for the PM undercover at that time and almost certainly does have to be able to at least fake it convincingly enough to keep that up.
one thing that i haven't ever totally agreed with is how some part of the fandom portrays sirius as this character that was born good and who has been against his family from the second he learned how to talk.
the tragedy behind the black brothers is that one of them had a support system who helped him see how his family's beliefs were not the correct way to go and offered him a safe space to run to when it all came crashing down. while the other was stuck not only by his family's duty but everywhere he turned was also filled with the same beliefs.
i don't think sirius was fighting with his parents about muggles and blood purity until maybe a year after coming back from hogwarts. i think he had the same beliefs, actually, because that's all he knew. he might have doubted them a time or two after spending time with andromeda or alphard, but at the end of the day he was a child, and children do follow whatever their parents tell them to, especially when there's not a proper and constant role model teaching them there is another way.
sirius was the proper black heir until getting to hogwarts, but deconstructing himself didn't take a day. i've read how he feels free the second he gets into gryffindor, and how with a single chat with james, he's ready to forget about everything his parents have spent years telling him.
sirius was probably spewing the same pureblood things his parents taught him, he was probably not happy about getting into gryffindor in the first place, it's against everything he had been told his entire life.
that's where the marauders intervene, he is able to have his own beliefs and realize that his family was wrong because he had a whole group of people teaching him and allowing him to make mistakes along the way without fear.
while regulus has been stuck forever, first in his own house, then in slytherin, and then with the death eaters. he also learnt about loyalty and friendship and what was wrong or right, yes. but he didn't have the freedom to even talk out loud about it given the place he was in.
their own personalities doom both of them. when sirius learns that his family is wrong, he turns defiant and outspoken, that's how he is and even if he's aware of it or not, he has the liberty of having a place to go to when things go wrong. regulus is cunning and thinks everything through first, so even if he learns his family is wrong, he knows he can't say anything, his friends are tied in the same world, and his only "protector" is gone.
that's the tragedy between them.
they are both the same, no one wasn't born being "good", one just got lucky enough to be placed with the correct people

I love and cherish by edits and stuff of my dramatic high fantasy guys, my minecraft guys, my silly little monsters, my dramatic sci-fi guys, my animated guys
But can we please also normalize making edits and stuff of like regular ass sitcom guys
Like where are the badass edits of Rosa Diaz, the crush edits of Tahani al Jamil, the ship edits of David and Patrick, the comfort edits of Chidi Anagonye
I say this as a person who lives in fantasy and whimsy content
I feel like we deserve both

star of the show; clark kent
even the brightest star
with the spotlight on her
felt like a sad girl
since the moon wasn’t there.
angst, drama, theater kid!
romeo and juliet, the tragedy of a love story. they were called star-crossed lovers for a reason—famous for it, hated for it, yet their tale became one of the most influential love stories in history. a love that barely began, but the heart had already been pierced by a dagger.
yet not every love story is a tragedy, or so y/n believed, because that’s how she felt. she was living in a romantic comedy, as she would describe her love life with clark kent—the golden retriever lead in her movie.
he was pure, the missing star in her orbit, yet now he was finally with her. clark was the kind of guy anyone could fall in love with. his charm lay not just in his smile, but in his heart—a heart full of goodness and care, the kind of heart you’d want to shield from any dagger.
y/n had always been in love with clark, ever since their middle school days together. he had always been a great friend to her, until one valentine's day, when she gently placed a soft kiss on his cheek, along with a love letter.
their love had always been there, growing with each love letter that became a confession of their feelings. then one day, clark stood in front of her, holding yellow flowers and his heart, ready to offer both to y/n.
that’s how their love story continued, until it began to crumble like stones falling apart. high school wasn’t the issue—it was that the rom-com paused at a moment when the lead character went missing.
clark often disappeared, acted strangely, or seemed to know too much. at first, y/n didn’t think it was a big deal, but it kept happening—and it never stopped.
she started to see him less and less. y/n was distracted with her theater group while clark was always gone. he’d say the torch magazine was keeping him busy, but the office was usually empty. sometimes chloe was there, but clark? he wasn’t.
one of those nights, y/n finally had him in her presence. it had been weeks since she’d seen him, but now he was there. they sat in his barn loft, one of their favorite places.
y/n sat in front of him, holding her script in hand, her eyes meeting his as she laughed softly, happily. clark read the lines of romeo, helping her prepare for tomorrow night. it was a school play—romeo & juliet—and y/n had the role of juliet.
it made her smile to have her own romeo in front of her.
clark burst into laughter. "how can you take this seriously? the words are so old, i can barely understand what they’re saying."
y/n chuckled, placing her hand gently over his. "sweetheart, you should pay more attention in english class. haven’t you read the book?" she teased him.
clark rolled his eyes but smiled. "no, maybe i should have, since my girl is juliet. i’m ashamed i won’t understand you tomorrow."
y/n chuckled, but a thought slipped out before she could stop it. "as if you’ll be there tomorrow."
clark’s smile faded, his brows furrowing in confusion. "what do you mean by that?"
"well... you’re never there," she said softly, her words tinged with hurt. "you always miss my school plays. there’s always an empty seat reserved for you." it pained y/n every time she didn’t see him in the crowd. she would wonder if he was just out of sight or waiting backstage for her, but he never was.
clark’s heart ached. he quickly grabbed her hands, holding them tightly, afraid her warmth might slip away like her heart. "love, i’m so sorry. i promise i’ll be there tomorrow, with a big bouquet of roses."
y/n chuckled, rubbing her thumb across his hands. "you know i like yellow flowers."
clark smiled softly, looking deeply into her eyes, which now held a shade of blue, reflecting his sadness and regret. "yellow it is, then."
the truth was, clark had never told y/n about his true self. it wasn’t fear that held him back, but his instinct to protect her. after everything he’d seen, all that had happened around him, and what his destiny would demand, his only thought was to keep y/n safe—safe from everyone and everything. she was his heart, and that was the part of him he couldn’t bear to risk.
she was the sun he needed.
yet, like in every romantic comedy, there’s a breaking point where the lovers reach a moment of hurt.
for y/n, that moment came as she stood on stage, the spotlight shining on her, but her eyes glistened with unshed tears. the seat reserved for him was empty again.
the star had missed her orbit once more.
the city was shining, but not for her.
it shone for superman.
pt. 2 is out!
much love!!!
ps: if u have watched romeo&juliet (1968) pls say it in unison that tom welling could be benvolio or romeo.

Hopes And Fears. (Wally Clark x Reader)
Summary: Y/N’s death is traumatic. So traumatic in fact, she can’t even look at Wally without reliving what happened to her.
Word Count: 3,073
Gif Not Mine. Requests are open!
Warnings: Violence, Swear Words, Hints Of Rape?
I’m not too sure how I feel about this to be honest but it’s my first fic since coming back and I would love to write for Wally more so please send requests! I might continue with this if people like it, I’m not sure yet though.
“Homecoming game tonight. Are you nervous?”
Closing my locker, I look to my left to see Abby, my best friend since elementary school. We’re inseparable. People find it odd that we look like we are complete opposites and yet we are the platonic loves of each other's lives. She’s a very loud and extroverted theater kid, I’m quiet, shy and introverted. Though in a weird turn of events, I became head cheerleader. Kind of ironic right?
“I’m not too worried. We’ve been rehearsing everyday, sometimes twice a day. I think we might actually have our best routine yet, I just hope we can pull it off.”
“You’ll be great, you always are. Besides I heard Spencer is going to ask you to be his date for homecoming.”
Abby’s words catch me off guard. Spencer is the Split River High quarterback. While typically the head cheerleader and quarterback are perfect for each other, I’m way below his level that the thought of us being together is ridiculous. I couldn’t even imagine it, that’s how ludicrous the idea of us is. Not that I would complain, Spencer is model level attractive, an academic genius and of course, insanely popular. Any girl would die to be his homecoming date. Me included.
“Don’t be stupid.” The blush on my cheeks is a vibrant red as I speak, leaning against my locker with my books clenched against my chest.
“I’m being serious. Some of the other football guys were talking about it in study hall. Apparently he’s got some sort of big surprise planned.”
Her grin is wide, clearly happy for me, though I can’t match it. I still don’t believe it, that sort of thing does not happen to girls like me. Guys aren’t interested in girls like me. That’s just the way high school works, maybe I’ll blossom when I head off to college at the end of this year but for now, guys keep their distance. My mom always told me that high school guys like girls that are easy and that because I know my worth, guys don’t even attempt it. I’ve always hated that idea though. If nothing else but for the slightly sexist and anti-feminist ideals that it pushes.
“Not to alarm you Y/N but he’s walking down the hallway.” Abby tells me, grabbing my forearm tightly, obviously excited. “I think he’s headed this way so that’s my cue. Have fun, text me all the details!”
With that she scurries away, flashing me a cheesy smile over her shoulder as she speeds down the hallway. Almost bumping into several other students as she does so. I laugh slightly, always entertained by her antics before hearing the metal of the locker next to me clang at the sound of somebody leaning against it.
“Mind if I steal you for a second Y/N?”
Spencer’s voice is charming and smooth, a relaxed smirk on his face as he stares down at me. His eyes are intoxicating and I feel as though I’m drowning in them. There’s no way Abby could be right. God, if she is I’ll never hear the end of it. Maybe I could live with that though, especially if it does result in Spencer potentially being my boyfriend.
“Sure, yeah, okay.”
Spencer’s smirk grows wider, and as he leans in to take my hand in his, I catch a whiff of his cologne. A dark musk that matches the darkness of his eyes and hair perfectly, it takes everything in me not to collapse right then and there. My senses are completely heightened and I can feel the roughness of his hand against my palm. The butterflies in my stomach make me feel as though I’m about to explode from my nerves and before I know it we’ve made our way to the old block of showers that were closed in 2004, following an incident involving an inappropriate relationship between a student and gym coach. New showers were remodeled and these were left to decay.
Spencer takes my books out of my hands, placing them on the bench that sits in the center of the room before turning to face me. His hand gently cups my cheek and although his smile is soft and loving. His eyes hold a mischievous glint. Without saying anything he leans down to kiss me, unprepared and a little shocked I step backwards.
“I didn’t know you wanted to kiss me. I didn’t even know you liked me.” I tell him, shuffling backwards again as he continues to approach me.
“Everybody likes you. I’ve just been wanting to save this for a special occasion, and what better time than homecoming?”
With my back pressed against the wall, a soft smile forms on my face as he cages me in. Though it doesn’t feel threatening, it feels new and exciting and my insides are on fire waiting to see what happens. I feel as though I finally understand what the cringey teen movies are talking about when they discuss sex and love and passion.
“I really like you Spencer.” I whisper, voice barely audible, gazing up at him through my lashes.
He laughs, pushing his hair out of his face before leaning down once again. This time his lips do touch mine and it’s nothing like I imagined. He’s rough, hands moving down to grab my breasts , almost painfully. The softness from before clearly disappeared. As much as it is a dream come true to be making out with the guy of my dreams, I’m still disappointed that this is how my first kiss turned out. His tongue forces its way into my mouth and its uncomfortable, I know this isn’t how it is supposed to go. As I try to pull away, to allow myself some air, his hand grips my throat, holding me in place. Continuing his almost aggressive movements.
“Yo Spence, did you get the bitch?”
Finally, he pulls away. I manage to take in some air despite his hand still wrapped around my neck. He’s looking over his shoulder, nodding his head. The rest of the football team stands in the doorway, menacing looks on their faces as they see me in such a vulnerable position. I hear the click of the door lock, and the butterflies in my stomach don’t feel so good anymore. The energy in the room shifts to one of darkness and evil, no trace of kindness and love.
Spencer looks at me, and for the first time in my life, I fear for my safety. This is not the same guy that I was obsessed with. There is no sign of human emotion on his face, no sympathy or pity. Gripping his hand to try and pry it away from my throat, I feel the tears begin to prick in the corners of my eyes and upon seeing my reaction, he smiles. My pain is his pleasure. Despite my attempts at removing his hand, his grip only gets tighter and I’m pushed further against the wall.
“Let’s have some fun boys.”
—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A dull ache radiates through my body, pushing through the pain, I force myself to stand up. Staring at the room around me, I wonder if I was dreaming. However, with no sign of my books on the bench, I take that as confirmation that what I experienced did truly happen. Blood splatters the walls and floor but with no sign of injury on my body, I refuse to believe it’s mine. Sure, what happened was bad, but not that bad.
Not wanting to stay in this room any longer, I quickly make my way to the exit, pushing open the door with more force than necessary causing it to slam against the outside wall. Making the shy looking boy who happens to be standing outside jump. I smile apologetically, about to make my way past him when I notice what he’s wearing. Clad in double denim with round glasses, he looks straight out of Friends.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to come in because I thought you might feel kind of exposed but I wanted to introduce myself.” He says quietly, holding out his hand for me to shake. “I’m Charlie.”
Shifting my gaze between his hand and his face, my mind can’t really comprehend what is happening. Why am I suddenly meeting someone new? By the old shower block of all places, especially after what has just happened to me. The confusion on my face must be obvious as he smiles before revoking his hand.
“You haven’t worked it out yet have you?” He asks, almost as though he doesn’t want to push me.
“You’re dead, cherry pop.”
Looking to my right, I spot a girl sat against the wall, blue lollipop between her lips that has stained them ever so slightly. Wearing a black turtleneck with a matching cap and pinstripe pants, she’s the kind of girl that would intimidate me had I seen her walking down the street. Who am I kidding? She still intimidates me.
“Rhonda, Mr Martin told us to be gentle with her!”
“I’m sorry, I actually have somewhere to be but you two look great.” I tell them, beginning to walk away and head towards the main school building.
“Did you not hear me? You’re dead, you don’t have anywhere to be.” The girl, I’m assuming Rhonda, shouts after me, causing me to stop in my tracks.
“Look I don’t know what sort of joke this is, but it’s not funny. Seriously, go find some other kid to pick on.”
As I walk into the school building, I begin my mission of searching for Abby, hoping I can find her in the auditorium or even the costume department. My search doesn’t take too long, as my assumptions proved correct. She is sitting on the stage, the theater club’s newest script in one hand and her phone in the other. Our text thread open on her screen, as I sit myself beside her, she doesn’t even acknowledge me, eyes flicking between her phone and the script.
“Abby, I need to tell you something but you have to swear you will not tell anyone.”
She completely ignores me, flipping the page of her script. Its as if I’m invisible to her, a joke that isn’t funny. Waving my hand in front of her face in an attempt to get her attention also proves futile as she doesn’t even look up. Glancing at her phone I notice she’s messaged me multiple times asking me of my whereabouts, telling me she’s seen Spencer but she didn’t see me with him, asking me if I am his homecoming date.
“Abby, seriously? This is important, your show can wait.”
“She can’t hear you.” Charlie says, him and Rhonda standing in front of me, arms resting on the edge of the stage. “Or see you, we’re invisible to them. Nothing you do is going to change that.”
“I don’t get it, why isn’t she answering me?” I ask, panic starting to set it as I grow more and more confused at my situation.
“Oh my god, do I really have to tell you again? Are you that fucking stupid? You’re dead. D-E-A-D. Deceased. Not living.” Rhonda speaks slowly, using a voice you would use for a child.
“I can’t be dead. There’s no way, it’s just not possible.”
“Yeah it takes some getting used to, but we’re all friends and you’ll come to terms with it soon enough. Mr Martin’s support group helps too.” Charlie tells me, smiling encouragingly as I watch Abby walk away with some of the other theater kids.
“Support group?” I ask, hopping off the stage to stand with the only two people that can see me.
“Come on, we’ll take you.” Rhonda states, almost as if it's more of a chore and not like she offered to take me.
—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sitting in a circle with the rest of the group, I can’t help my heart racing as I spot the football player sitting amongst everyone. He reminds me of Spencer and that’s what makes me nervous, or maybe it’s just the fact that he plays football. Either way I can’t help but feel on edge, hence why I placed myself in the furthest seat from him.
As I take in the rest of the room, I notice the basketball team playing further down the court. Not aware of the existence of the group of ghosts sat in a circle like they’re in an AA meeting. It feels so surreal, almost like an intricate nightmare that I will wake up from at any moment. Yet everything I’ve seen so far has been pretty real.
“We have a new student, would you like to introduce yourself?” The only teacher, who I am guessing is Mr Martin asks, as I feel all eyes divert their attention towards me.
The football player has a gentle aura around him, smiling at me as he waits for an answer to Mr Martin’s question. I look away quickly, unable to face the feelings of sickness in my stomach that I get when I look at him.
“I’m Y/N.”
The group mumbles a chorus of welcomes as I stare at the floor, still struggling to come to terms with the fact that I am actually dead.
“It’s hard at first, but I’m grateful that you decided to give the group a shot. It helps us all to move forward instead of focusing on our deaths and the past.” Mr Martin tells me, offering a look of sympathy. “Charlie, Rhonda, thank you for being Y/N’s guide, I’m sure it was very helpful.”
“So how did you die? In the old showers clearly, but that’s gotta be an interesting story right?” Rhonda asks, her eyes piercing into me as she places the lollipop back between her lips.
“Rhonda, you can’t just ask people that. Let her get used to us at least.”
His voice startles me, it’s as gentle as his aura. Soft and ever so charming. The protection in his tone is obvious as though he doesn’t wanna frighten me away and I glance at him for a moment. His football shirt sits perfectly against his toned chest and a gold chain hangs delicately from his neck. He’s beautiful. Truly beautiful.
“I’m Wally by the way, Wally Clark.” His voice is directed at me, staring at me intently.
At that moment, I can’t help but be transported back to before. Remembering my screams and pleads for them to stop. Praying someone would hear me and come to my rescue. They never did. They never stopped.
Jumping up from my chair, I feel myself getting worked up as I sprint out of the room. Terrified of reliving the past. Finding myself in an abandoned hallway, I slide against the wall until I’m sitting on the cold linoleum floor. Staring at the lockers as I try to calm my breathing.
“Hey, hey, are you okay?” Charlie asks, crouching in front of me with a concerned expression on his face. “Wally’s shitting himself thinking he did something wrong. I told him to hang back while I spoke to you.”
I let the tears fall down my face as I stare up at Charlie, feeling guilty that I’ve potentially upset an innocent boy because of my own trauma. I can’t go back to the group, I know I can’t. It would be in the best interests of every other ghost if I do my best to simply avoid Wally. That way nobody gets hurt.
“I’m sorry Charlie. I can’t do it, I can’t go back to the group. I can’t see him in that fucking uniform. I just can’t, I’m sorry.” My sobs are uncontrollable and I feel bad even just for putting Charlie through this when he’s known me for all of two hours.
“It’s okay, you’re okay. Is it the uniform, we can get him to change I’m sure, I know it’s not the best look but it is all he had since he died in his shoulder pads and all.”
I can’t help but let out a small laugh, wiping the tears from my face with the sleeves of my jumper. Charlie offers me his hand to help me stand up which I take graciously. He places a hand on my shoulder as a sign of encouragement, along with a gentle smile.
“I mean it Charlie. I can’t go back to the group. I don’t want to relive the memories.”
—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“She’s adamant she’s not coming back.” Charlie tells the group, all of them awaiting the answers he has for them as to why the new girl ran away. “I don’t think it’s anything personal Wally but she said she can’t see you in that uniform and I think she may have had something happen regarding the football players. I don't wanna speculate though.”
“So, what? Her footballer boyfriend cheated on her and now she can’t look at poor, innocent Wally because it reminds her of him?” Rhonda asks, unimpressed by the lack of answers Charlie has.
“No, I think it’s something more than that. Something deeper. I’m sure she’ll tell us when she’s ready but for now, I would stop wearing the uniform Wally.”
The footballer didn’t need to be told twice, he instantly pulls the shirt over his head leaving him in only a tight, white tank top. Charlie smiles in appreciation, while Rhonda scoffs slightly upon seeing his muscular arms.
“Okay, so I’ve ditched the uniform, should I apologize or what?” Wally asks, looking at the group to gauge their reactions.
“Maybe now isn’t a good time Wally.” Mr Martin states, trying to think rationally. “I’d give it a day or so.”
“Or maybe just leave her alone for a while. Let her come out of her shell a bit first.” Charlie interjects.
“Yeah, let's not hurt cherry pop’s feelings.” Rhonda replies sarcastically, staring directly at Charlie.
As the rest of the group session continues, Wally stays silent, playing with the football uniform in his hands as he attempts to figure out different ways to apologize. To help her feel more at home in her new life, and potentially help her overcome the trauma of her death. Despite not managing to come up with a good idea, he does decide one thing. He will do whatever it takes to make her feel safe and become her friend.

This is a really good interview with Jac Schaeffer about episode 7 of Agatha All Along.
Schaeffer orchestrates “Death’s Hand in Mind” to unfold with an emotional clarity that allows LuPone to shine in one of her best ever on-screen performances.
[snip]
What sort of feedback would she be giving?
She has a number of mini-monologues, and as we got closer, I tweaked a few of them. She came to me and was like, “Can we please just do it how it was?” And I was like, “You’re the boss, absolutely.” She’s a theater actor. She respects the page. I was trying to streamline and get us moving, and she was like, “No, I want to say all these things.” And bless her, I’m so glad she said all the things.
There are really two different tracks in the episode: the linear timeline as the other characters are experiencing it, and the emotional timeline as Lily is experiencing it. How did you and Patti navigate that?
Patti asked for a script in correct order so she could understand what she was doing. She really did have a solid handle on it, but she would get lost a little bit. Her focus was, “Where is the big emotion? When do I really unravel?” That’s why she wanted to see the episode strung out linearly, but I was like, “You’re the one bouncing around.” She’s the constant, so whenever she’s feeling the deep emotion of it, that is correct, because she’s being wrenched all over the place. So I think her process was finding when the pulling around really starts to trigger her vulnerability.
[SNIP]
The other thing that was very complicated about this episode was the practical part. Those swords are real, and they’re on piano wire. We had to number them and know the order and decide where they went before any actors set foot on the set. So we had this sword map that was nuts, and Ishi was my sword angel, keeping all that in both our minds. And the actors — they were so lovely — they were willing to let me say, “We cannot explore dancing around the space. I need you here right now, otherwise a sword is going to hit you in the face.”
THEY USED REAL SWORDS. When they said that they used minimal CGI… they were not kidding about it!
[snip]
Lilia, Alice, Mrs. Hart — are they all really dead?
I anticipated this question today, and I’ve been thinking about my answer. What I want to say is that this is a show about death. We actually have the character of Death in our show. I am interested in that conversation, and I am fascinated by how death is used in the comic space and in the MCU. Personally, I feel that when a person dies, you can still talk to them and feel them, and they can still be in your lives. But death is immutable. It is permanent. With this show, we wanted to pay respect to that. So this a more earnest and grave conversation about death than maybe you would find in another superhero project.
I like this actually. I like that in WandaVision the show dealt with grief and trauma. This time it’s dealing with death face to face and having an honest discussion what death is.
I think what it will end up showing is that death… is not evil. Death just is. It is a fact of life.
To paraphrase the Ninth Doctor: Everything has its time and everything ends.
So are the Salem Seven dead?
Yeah, the Salem Seven are dead. They’re off the board in our show, is what I will say. Lilia has saved everybody!
And true to my hypothesis, when Jac is fibbing or not telling the whole truth, she answers as succinctly as possible. Because it is technically true the Salem Seven are dead because the remaining Salem members are now just the Salem Two.
Since only five appeared in the Tower.
Lady Death has been a significant character in the Marvel Comics for a long time. When did you decide to include your version of that character in the show?
Oooh, it’s so fun to be talking about this now. We wanted a pursuant character. We wanted somebody who was going to be after Agatha, and therefore after the coven, because we liked the logic of whatever Agatha’s problem is, once they become a coven, it becomes the problem of the whole group. Very, very early, we had this character we called the Debt Collector. Witchcraft is a lot about intention and exchange and checks and balances. So we had this notion of someone being after them for unpaid debts of witchcraft. I don’t remember when we pivoted to death, but it was just so sexy. We were just like, who is the perfect ex-lover of Agatha Harkness? It was just so obviously Lady Death. It felt so right.
It’s so interesting what they conceptualized for the ‘pursuant’ character before locking on to Rio/Lady Death. The ‘Debt Collector’, it says a lot about their initial thoughts and rules for Witchcraft which sounded (to me) something similar to Fullmetal Alchemist’s philosophy of ‘Equivalent exchange’.
The intention of checks and balances and unpaid debts of witchcraft.
Also, I still love that the person, the character who brought Lady Death, the cosmic being into the MCU wasn’t Thanos with his trillions of death via snap. It’s not Deadpool.
The character who brought Lady Death into being is Agatha Harkness.
Executive producer Mary Livanos and writer Giovanna Sarquis were instrumental in the character. Giovanna came in with the Dia de los Muertos [look] and having her be Latinx, and Mary was very much an influence on Rio’s darkness and toxicity and how enmeshed Agatha and Rio are. It was something that needed approval from on high. We had to get the sign off from Kevin [Feige]. There was a moment where we were all holding our breath, worried we weren’t going to get it. We were really delighted that we got the OK.
I love this, @mswyrr pointed out that Santa Muerte and Lady Death actually has similarities. And to know now that it’s deliberate? It’s so amazing.
Also, Mary pointing out the darkness and toxicity knowing that Mary Livanos is a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan and quite possibly a Buffy/Faith shipper… The knife scene in the first episode feels more like a deliberate reference now!
This is what happens when fangirls become in charge! Wooo!
You said Rio is a “pursuant character” — is she a villain, or at least an antagonist?
Yes, I would classify her as an antagonist. I would classify everyone in the show as a villain and a hero at one point or another.
[snip]
Again with a carefully short answer. But also the emphasis that she is an antagonist and Jac’s insistence that in the show no one is purely a hero nor a villain. Because people are more complicated than that.
we designed this show to really take off dramatically in the back half. I’ve been really interested to see how that lands with people. I think for the most part, people are on the track that we hope they will be. It’s not about the specifics of characters showing up or cameos or revelations, really. But it sounds to me like what people are emotionally interested in, I hope that we deliver on that. There is more Agatha, there is more Rio, and there is a conclusion to this story, and there is some truth to be shared about Agatha.
I like that— for Jac it’s not the cameos or the revelations, it’s the emotional interest and investment. It’s the unpacking of Agatha as a character, its Agatha and Rio individually and together. This is what Jac and the writer’s room are interested in.
I love that in superhero show, they’re tackling the very heavy subject of death. And I trust this team of writers to bring it home.

Helsingin Sanomat Käärijä article (11.10.) translated
Käärijä licks a carrot and makes OF content - It’s not just about clowning, the artist says
Käärijä’s CCC era comes to an end, when he releases a new album in November. On the album he sings about sex, among other things.
At the moment Käärijä is on an European tour. Between summer’s festival gigs and his fall tour he had time to take three weeks off.
Summary box:
Käärijä, Jere Pöyhönen, released a new song called Sex = Money, and makes OF content
OF-account has a couple of hundred of followers, subscription costs 40e per month
Pöyhönen is on an European tour, in Germany his gigs have been nearly sold out
New album People’s Champion comes out on Nov. 1st. It includes a personal song
“I started to sell sex because sex sells.”
Sings Käärijä, Jere Pöyhönen, on his new song Sex = Money. In the song’s promo video Pöyhönen licks a dirty carrot on a balcony. Fans know what the carrot is a reference to. On a video (plant note: it’s a pic HS get your facts right) posted on Käärijä’s OF account, a carrot sticks up from between Pöyhönen’s buttcheeks.
Yes, Käärijä makes OF content.
On the paid adult content site he has a couple of hundred followers. Subscription costs 40e per month.
When asked about his adult content career, he laughs.
“It’s more just a little fun for the fans,” he tells HS on the phone.
Pöyhönen is currently on an European tour. On the four gigs held in Germany the tickets have been nearly sold out, he says. The venues have been theaters and clubs that fit from 700 to 1,500 people.
On the stage Pöyhönen has been speaking rally-English and has been on his element. The audience has been a bit more grown up compared to Finland, he says.
Käärijä gathered a big audience in Hamburg on Oct. 8th
In Finland Käärijä is an Eurovision hero that also kids admire. At all ages gigs he can’t curse and make dirty jokes the same way he does at club gigs.
Pöyhönen hopes that kids won’t find his OF account. That’s why he hasn’t posted about it much on his social media.
The new song that tells about selling sex won’t be left out of all ages gigs. The lyrics of the song will be changed, though, Pöyhönen says.
“Maybe we’ll sing about selling Lego.”
Whether parents play the new song to their kids or not is out of his hands, according to him. As a child he listened to Petri Nygård’s songs.
“And I’m still sane.” x
Pöyhönen talks about OF as a branding tool, that mostly gives him just a bit of extra money.
He created the account with Häärijä last December. At first it worked as a paid advent calendar for the fans. Pöyhönen told in the Urheilucast podcast that they made 40K euros on the first month.
Pöyhönen won’t reveal what he makes with the OF account these days, but evidently he has made more during the year.
“If someone wants to pay for it, that’s nice. But I have completely different sources of income,” Pöyhönen says.
In the videos Käärijä and Häärijä do mildly naughty things to each other. It’s like a dirty Kummeli show. More like soft porn than actual porn, Pöyhönen describes.
“We’ve filmed stuff for the account that has made us laugh.”
(there was a pic of the crowd but I don't feel comfortable posting it here. The text under the pic: According to Pöyhönen, the audience at his European gigs is mostly just adults.)
It’s not all just about clowning. OF account and Sex = Money song are an ironic statement on how the world runs around sex too much. As if it was easier to sell sex than music.
Even though Pöyhönen himself says that he objects to marketing music with sex, Käärijä the character does it blindly with everyone else.
“In a way I’m taking a stand without taking a stand.”
Käärijä’s CCC era comes to an official end, when his new album People’s Champion comes out on Nov. 1st.
On the new album we’ll hear the first song fully sung by Käärijä. The topic is personal, Pöyhönen reveals, but won’t comment on the new music more than that.
“There probably won’t be any radical changes,” Pöyhönen says.
Pöyhönen wants to hold onto his underage fans. He sees the all ages gigs as great opportunities to talk about bullying, for example.
“Even before ESC Käärijä character was obscene. I don’t want to change my musical style too much. I make art that looks like me, my own thing.”

I remember a good while ago I saw someone write about like, the concept of a single day in the devildom is the equivalent of two days in the human realm, not as in time is faster but like there’s 48 hours in a day for them, so Mc needs to take naps throughout the day to stay sane,
(I don’t remember who wrote it nor can I find the post at the moment, but if I find it I’ll link it! Also if anyone reading this does infact know who I’m talking about please PLEASE also feel free to drop their user or the post itself because I remember really enjoying it and wanna credit the op! I genuinely do not wanna take credit for this idea simply just talk about some thoughts it provoked! Especially since if I remember it was a request they answered!)
but it also had me thinking about like, how would that translate to school hours at RAD?? Like, would they have two hours classes organized like regular classes? So like at least a 13-14 hour school day?(which for my fellow theater kids, a normal day during production week/tech week lol) or maybe RAD could have REALLY long free periods between classes, cause there is no way a bunch of demons will be able to sit still for that long without any breaks in between classes, so maybe like a 30 to an hour break between classes? Really I’m thinking about this cause there’s no way they could have a 48 hour day and only have a regular 7-8 hour school schedule. or maybe they have something like, you can chose “night” classes or “day” classes, since RAD does seem pretty flexible with their classes and stuff since levi goes online. So you can just fill out a form and pick what hours you want for one particular class, and with the classes that are deemed essential you’d prolly only get to pick certain hours.
also imagine business hours with restaurants and stores, cause imagine sitting with the brothers and being like “oh why don’t we just head over to the store to get [insert item]” so one of them is like “I think the store is closed right now though,” and mc just sits up a little and is like “that place actually closes?” And all the boys stare in confusion for a second, then mc is like “oh I’m SORRRY I forgot that working for 20 hours straight daily is NORMAL for you people! My bad for needing to sleep when it’s still technically rush hour at Hell’s Kitchen!” And they all awkwardly glance away,
anyways, it’s a fun thing to imagine tho, cause I do love the devildom having actual large differences to the human realm that would make it extra hard for mc because that simply just makes sense to me, again NOT my idea in the slightest and I wish I knew where tf the original post is,
#obey me#obey me mc#I dunno why I made Mc get so angry lol#obey me asmodeus#obey me leviathan#obey me beelzebub#obey me lucifer#obey me belphegor#obey me satan#obey me one master to rule them all#obey me imagines#obey me hcs#obey me headcanons#obey me mammon

d. di. dillo ml <3 could i maybe perhaps get hcs for the boys and a theatre kid! s/o? <3
A/N: I’m a stage manager so I feel qualified to answer these asks. I went down the high school theater train here because it felt the most applicable and I felt most confident writing it so…yeah. Hope you enjoy!
DARRY CURTIS
This man is an absolute saint and unofficially joined your set building crew once your show started because he works in construction kinda sorta and figured what better way to help your show than to help build everything you need
The rest of the cast and crew goes absolutely wild when he shows up the first time because let’s be real folks, Darry is absolutely stunning, incredibly strong, and an absolute gentlemen
He’s wonderful at helping you with lines too, if you need some assistance with memorizing or just someone to talk through them with, Dare is more than happy to help you out
Dare’ll give up his free time for that too, like in the evenings when he wants to do is crawl into bed and catch some rest before having to work again tomorrow, he’ll sit with you in the living room and recite lines until you feel confident
Come show time, he’s sitting in the front row with his brothers, grinning up at you when you’re on stage, clapping the loudest when it’s done <3
He brings you flowers too, a nice little bouquet that he gives to you after you’re done, congratulating you on such a good performance, he’ll tell you every show you do was even better than your last, no matter what happens
SODAPOP CURTIS
Sodapop absolutely loves that you’re an actor, he thinks it’s super duper cool and is literally so in awe of your talent no matter how talented you think you actually are-
He likes to joke, that if he were still in school, he’d be up on stage with you, acting right alongside you, playing every love interest you could ever have on that big stage
The theater director, I’m sure, would have loved to have Sodapop in the plays/musicals because just look at that man’s face and I will bet you actual money that Sodapop can sing too
On those rough days, the days where you can’t remember any of your lines, can’t hit any of your notes, miss every single one of your cues, Sodapop will be there to help you through it
Those days happen, I see them all the time, but Sodapop, with the gentlest voice you’ve ever heard and the sweetest smile on his face, will offer to help you with everything
Come showtime, Sodapop is sitting in that front row, right in the center of the stage, hearts in his eyes and flowers in his hands, eager for you to perform so he can see you doing your thing <3
PONYBOY CURTIS
Guess what buds, Ponyboy Curtis a stage crew kiddo because I said so and now it’s canon in this universe in which these headcanons exist-
He does lights or something, something where he’s around the cast enough to develop a huge crush on you but still separate enough so that he has to make an effort to see you
But once you start dating, Ponyboy finds himself being dragged into the cast circles and into your friend groups more often, being brought more into the acting group of people
One time, and I swear to you it happened one time, he was working one of the spotlights for a rehearsal and was so in awe of your acting talent that he just…forgot…to spot you during your big monologue…
When he notices that he missed his cue, he apologizes like a million times once he finds you again, and when you realize why he missed the cue, please give him a million more kisses because that’s really cute
After you guys finish your show, Ponyboy takes you out to the diner or something and have a little date with you and congratulate you on your job well done!
DALLAS WINSTON
After talking with my dearest friend, thanks a bunch @a-person-who-didnt-wanna-be-here, I finally figured out what I was gonna say about this boyo, I stared at his section for WAY too long
But anyway! If you’re dating Dallas and you’re doing high school theater, prepare yourself for him either asking a shit ton of questions about what you’re working on or absolutely not caring about anything at all
For sure, he’ll show up at your shows and give you a rinky-dink little bouquet of flowers and congratulate you on a job well done and have absolutely no clue about what show you just performed
Dallas will literally get up in the middle of the show and leave because he’s bored when you’re not on the stage and he’ll just hang out outside and smoke until he’s bored of being outside and wants to go back in
If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation where you have to kiss one of your fellow actors for a scene, you don’t have any good options regarding Dallas
Either you tell him before and have to deal with him complaining and threatening your fellow actor or you don’t tell him and run the risk of him finding out <3 good luck!
JOHNNY CADE
Supportive! Boyfriend! To! The! Max! Johnny is absolutely wonderful with a theater kid partner and I just know it all the way done to the marrow in my bones
He would help you run lines, hanging out at your house until the late hours of the night until you’ve got all your lines down and just help you remember them because he just likes you so much
Johnny doesn’t want to be in the plays/musicals and he doesn’t want to be involved with the stage crew either, but he hangs around rehearsals when he can because it beats going home and he likes being able to walk you back to your house when it gets late and stuff
The rest of the cast loves him though, he’s a sweetheart and a little cutie and ya know, he just, he never does anything wrong. He’s a little baby boy and I love him-
He comes to all your shows! You can always find him sitting in the audience cheering for you at curtain calls and waving when he catches your attention
Johnnykid tries to get the rest of the boys to come with him too, mostly Ponyboy, because he wants to show off how talented you are and all that good jazz!
TWO-BIT MATHEWS
Two-Bit is not in any of the shows. He’s never on a cast list, never in the crew, he doesn’t help with anything at all. But he’s always at rehearsals-
Why is he wasting his time at rehearsals you may ask? Why is he spending afternoons in that old theater, sitting in the uncomfortable seats and watching people practice a show he’s not even in? Oh, it’s because of you, of course!
He doesn’t do much, especially not when he’s got you sitting next to him, and a majority of his time is spent sitting with you and running his mouth about the other cast members and stuff
A large chunk of what he says are compliments on your acting and mumbled remarks into your ear about how you’re better than whoever is on stage or how the two of you could be off somewhere else, doing something else…
But everyone else thinks he’s kinda funny and he doesn’t cause too many problems when he’s around cause you keep him on enough of a leash that anything he does can be considered more funny than problematic
When opening weekend rolls around, he tells everyone he knows to come see you perform, hyping you up consistently and making sure when you come out for bows, you’ve got an audience full of people waiting there to cheer you on!
STEVE RANDLE
I feel like I boil Steve’s character down to a cheerleader boyfriend way too often but like- that’s just the way he is- I don’t know what else you want me to say-
But anyways, just imagine for a moment, sitting in the garage of the DX while Steve’s covered in grease, working underneath a car, while you sit pretty by the toolboxes and run lines with him
He offers to pick you up from rehearsals and drive you home for multiple reasons because a) he likes taking care of you, b) he likes hearing about your rehearsal, and c) he’d never miss an opportunity to drive you around
He drags Sodapop along to your shows because he feels weird going by himself but still really wants to show up out of the blue and surprise you by sitting in the audience with flowers
Triple bonus boyfriend points, he takes you out for dinner after your final show to congratulate you on a job well done and treat you to something while simultaneously showing you off!
While you’re rehearsing and stuff, he calls you his superstar because he’s goofy like that and will state how you’re the next rising star and compare you to all these famous actors/actresses and ask you not to forget about him once you make it to Broadway
TIM SHEPARD
Tim popped by your rehearsal one time because…I don’t even know why, probably cause you forgot your script at his house or something and everyone absolutely lost it cause Big Bad Tim Shepard is at a theater rehearsal
He doesn’t really talk to anyone but you, handing over that script and offering to pick you up after you’re done and take you out to dinner or something <3
Tim’s a pain in the ass to work on lines with, but he’ll help you out if you really need a hand with memorizing them-
I’m getting this visual of you sitting in the Shepard kitchen late at night, deep in thought at the kitchen table while Tim sits on the opposite side and reads from your script, feeding you lines when you need a little hint
He drops you off at the theater on opening day, way earlier than the actual showtime because call times are a thing and they absolutely suck, but he sends you off on your way with a good luck kiss
Tim doesn’t sit in the front row, doesn’t sit with your family, doesn’t bring anyone else along with him, but he’s there at your shows and always gives you a little wave when you bow, winking at you when he manages to catch your eye
CURLY SHEPARD
Imma just be real with you, there’s a really high chance that Curly might be thrown in reform during your show run, he’s a delinquent and ya know, he has a rough time staying out of the pen sometimes
In that case ^^ he sends Tim in his stead so that Tim can tell him all about how you did so that Curly can shower you with praise once he gets out
If he’s not in the pen! Yay! He comes to all of your shows and never buys a ticket, sneaking in every time because no one’s gonna stop him from seeing you perform during your big moments
He hangs out during rehearsals, causing a ruckus when he can and loping off with a smug smirk when he gets kicked out, after blowing you a kiss of course
Curly’s not gonna bring you flowers but it’s not because he doesn’t care it’s just cause he doesn’t have the money or the memory to get you flowers so he just gives you a bunch of kisses instead!
Random to finish, but don’t ever try and get Curly to run your lines with you because he’ll end up turning it into some sort of, remember-a-line-and-you-get-a-kiss game and then y’all will just end up making out instead of working on memorizing lines sooooo……yeah

What I think each Yellowjackets character’s Letterboxd top 4 would be
*I’m including movies past the 90s even though some of these characters didn’t live long enough to see them*
Natalie
I think Nat is a huge horror movie fan (specifically 80s slasher and demonic possession) and loves edgy gothic vibes. I also think she would love some artsy indie movies about sex and challenging gender roles (and just some cool action movies with hot badass women).
Honorable mentions go to The Craft and Kill Bill
Misty
We all know Misty is a theater kid. She loves musicals and I think girlie is definitely singing Sweeney Todd and Phantom of the Opera songs to herself 24/7. And I feel like I don’t even need to explain the Steel Magnolias inclusion, she had that monologue memorized like it was imprinted on her soul.
Honorable mentions go to Hairspray and Hamilton
Jackie
I know Jackie loves a good chick flick, particularly those with homoerotic subtexts. I think, if she had gotten to live long enough to start coming to terms with her sexuality, But I’m a Cheerleader would definitely be her gay awakening. And then Bottoms once she’s tip-toed out of the closet a little bit more (RIP Jackie Taylor you would have LOVED Bottoms). And of course, I had to add Beaches because of the “Are you quoting Beaches at me right now?” line, and also because I think Jackie would watch it and shed a secret tear because it makes her think of her and Shauna.
Honorable mentions go to Uptown Girls and Heathers
Van
Van would definitely refuse to watch anything past the 90s. She loves comedy classics and queer staples. I know Van quotes The Godfather in the full Italian accent constantly (especially around Nat to piss her off) and she’s watched The Princess Bride an ungodly amount of times and knows pretty much every line (Buttercup was her queer awakening).
Shauna
Like Jackie, Shauna love movies about intense (homoerotic) friendships. I know she relates to Needy in Jennifer’s Body living in Jennifer’s (Jackie’s) shadow and resenting her for it but also being so obsessed and intertwined with her; and she also just loves the visuals and its satire on female exploitation. Shauna maybe relates to and roots for Pearl a little too much, she loves a movie about a woman desperate for recognition and teetering on the edge of insanity while maintaining a sweet and innocent facade. Also I can see adult Shauna in particular just being charmed by Little Women (partly because of the love triangle but mostly because of the womanhood and female friendship themes).
Honorable mentions go to Juno and Scream
Also side note: I feel like Shauna would love Daria, but it’s a TV show so I didn’t include it.
Laura Lee
Laura Lee loves uplifting and wholesome movies. I can see her shamelessly liking kid’s movies well into adulthood. She likes movies centered around helping people in need like The Rescuers or going through hardship and discovering faith like Soul Surfer. Girl is religious-religious so her favorites are definitely going to be centered around faith and Christianity. But she also just likes a simple feel-good film; the cheesiest, sappiest movies you can imagine.
Lottie
Okay Lottie was hard to pinpoint but I’m pretty sure she would like angsty, artsy shit. Like, in high school, she would pretend to love chick flicks like the rest of her classmates but when she gets home she’s putting on the darkest and most depressing weird girl movie you’ve ever seen. I think she likes Suspiria for the occult themes, the otherworldly feeling of it, and eccentricities of the main character who never knows what’s real and what’s not, which she relates to. I think she likes some mental illness movies like Donnie Darko because of her diagnosis and upbringing and The Virgin Suicides because she’s lonely and feels overly-controlled by her parents. And Amelie because she once again relates to the loneliness and likes that the main character discovers her gift for helping people. I think Lottie would prioritize good cinematography and visuals in movies, too.
I don’t think Lottie would really watch movies as an adult because she would be too busy running a cult and disconnecting from society, which is why these picks are centered around Teen Lottie.
-
I couldn’t think of what Tai would like! She is a mystery to me. I can see her maybe liking something like Whiplash because she is super driven and ambitious and kind of tortures herself for success? But idk. Please comment or repost with what you think her’s would be!

drop ur antony headcanons pls
Thank you for asking me anon!!! I love to share my headcanons about him he’s so silly!!
1. I feel like more than half of his closet is just graphic tees/t-shirts. That’s like the only kind of shirt he wears.
2. For his crush on Dejah, he acts like a stuttering and complete mess of front of her. Super awkward and everything. But she doesn’t mind! I think she finds it and him very sweet. I don’t know if you’ve ever watched my little pony friendship is magic, but they give me Shining Armor x Cadence vibes.
3. I’d like to think he played an instrument as a kid. He was probably a band kid.
4. Whenever he went to zoos as a kid or even now, he rushes to the reptile section. It’s most likely for him to look at iguanas since he’s in the iguana society. Though I feel like he loves every single kind of reptile.
5. He’s the Godzilla’s movies #1 fan. Bro RUNS to the theaters whenever a new movie drops. He always cheers on Godzilla for the Godzilla vs. literal any creature or just any Godzilla movie in general.
6. Amusement park enthusiast. He absolutely LOVES any and all kinds of amusement parks. He will ride absolutely anything!! Maybe not the VERY VERY high rollercoasters but he will ride anything and everything else. He’s still a kid at heart.
7. His favorite holiday is basically any where he can spend time with his family. Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Halloween are his top ones. He loves going trick or treating with Hazel and I feel like they always had matching Halloween costumes.
8. He played some sports as a kid. I have no idea which ones but I feel like he’d be a soccer kid (maybe I’m bias because I play soccer LMAO).
9. Secretly LOVES reality tv shows. He acts like he doesn’t, but whenever Angela has it on he sits next to her and watches it. They totally gossip about it together.
10. He will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING for Hazel. He cares so much about her.
11. Whenever the Wells Family is on a trip, he’s the one to suggest excursions and everything like that.
12. Energy drinks are his LIFE. He doesn’t drink coffee but bro will absolutely DOWN any energy drink.
13. I feel like he helps build whatever ghost hunting or paranormal investigation invention Marcus wants. He probably even helped him build the the ghost one that we see in the show! He doesn’t really get his dad’s obsession with the paranormal but he will forever cheer his dad on!
14. Since he now knows about Cosmo, Peri, and Wanda, he will guard their secret with his life for Hazel. He helps when they have a few little slips. I feel like he would get along great with Cosmo and Wanda! He definitely appreciates what they’ve done for his little sister. He tries to get along with Peri but I feel like they don’t really get along at first. You know, younger brother vs older brother. Maybe they do get along but at first, absolutely not.
15. He’s a great cook! He helps cook meals for Hazel whenever his parents are out and about.
16. He has silly little karaoke nights with Hazel :3
That’s all the headcanons I have for him <33 if I do think of more I’ll either edit the post or make a new post about it! Thank you for the ask anon!! And thank you for reading! I hope you have a great day or night :3

This a fan translation so it is definitely not 100% accurate. I do not own anything related to Ikemen Villains. Support Cybird by buying their amazing stories!
Part 1
Jude: “It’s got nothin’ to do with his murderous intent or desires, it’s 100% for yer own sake.”
Jude: “He wants ta kill ya at the happiest moment of yer life ‘n make it last forever.”
Jude: “That’s what he’s after.”
(The happiest moment…)
(Kill?)
Jude: “He’s crazy.”
When I thought back… there were many moments that came to mind.
On the way home from the theater.
At the park where we had the picnic.
When we ran down the hill to the flower field in the wheelchair.
(If I had agreed at that time—Would Ellis have killed me?)
Jude: “Well, he’s only killed one person in the past at the peak of happiness.”
Jude: “There must be conditions for that crazy kid.”
(Conditions.)
--Flashback—
Ellis: “If you were destined to despair tomorrow, would you want to make today last forever?”
Ellis: “Or, even if you suffer from knowing the happiness you could never get back and go crazy like Jake…”
Ellis: “Would you still want to live?”
--End Flashback—
Kate: “Why…Why would he want to do something like that…?”
I couldn’t imagine such an abnormal desire would come about without any trigger.
Jude: “What’re ya gonna do if ya know that?”
Jude: “Ya think ya can persuade him, make him change his mind?”
I thought about it, but Jude’s words didn’t quite resonate with me.
Kate: “…I think…it’s not that.”
Kate: “I… want to know if achieving that goal would bring Ellis happiness.”
(If that really would bring Ellis happiness…)
(Maybe it’s wrong of me to say that it’s weird, since I’ve only just met him.)
(That’s why I want to know and think about it properly.)
(Will Ellis be happy after achieving his goal?)
(Because I think Ellis is…the one who should be happier than anyone else.)
Jude looked at me for a few seconds, then frowned in disbelief and returned his gaze to his book.
Jude: “Yer free to step in, but I won’t care if ya die.”
Kate: “Yes…Thank you very much.”
Kate: “…Oh, now that I think of it, I haven’t paid you yet, have I?”
Jude: “…I’ll do it for free this time.”
Kate: “Jude doing something for free…that’s actually kind of scary…”
Jude: “Hoooh, Yer gonna say that?”
Jude: “Would ya feel better if I tell ya if he kills ya, I’m gonna sell yer body ‘n write ya off?”
Kate: “Oh, I’m not relieved, but I understand.”
He waved his hand as if to say the conversation was over, and I turned away.
(To kill someone at the happiest moment their life and make it eternal…)
(How can I know what made Ellis think like that?)
I was told to go head and figure it out myself, but
After saying he needed some time, Ellis disappeared and I didn’t know when I would see him again.
(And—)
The secret box that Ellis was desperately trying to keep closed… would not be easy to open.
As I was thinking about what to do and put my hand on the library door, a voice came from behind me.
Jude: “If ya want to know the details, why don’t ya ask that pervert that only studies curses.”
Kate: “…!”
--
Kate: “Can you tell me about Ellis’ past?”
Roger: “……Huh?”
Part 2
Kate: “Can you tell me about Ellis’ past?”
Roger: “……Huh?”
Roger blinked for a second when I jumped into the room, out of breath,
Then he raised his eyebrows in amusement.
Roger: “What’s this? I thought you knew all about it since you’ve been doing all that lovey-dovey rehabilitation.”
***CHOICES***
*1. I should have tried to find out sooner. +4 +4*
2. Did it look like that?
3. I don’t know him that well.
***
Kate: “…I should have tried to find out sooner.”
Roger: “…”
Roger: “Is this true love? I can’t say no to that.”
Roger: “So, what do you want to know?”
I had heard from Jude that the reason Ellis was so concerned about others’ happiness was ‘to kill them’.
I wanted to know why he thought that way, and when I explained that frankly…
Roger stroked his chin curiously.
Roger: “I see. I can tell you about what happened to Ellis in the past…”
Roger: “But you might now understand the ‘why’ until you ask the people involved.”
Kate: “People involved…?”
Roger: “Ellis was born in a small rural town in the north.”
Roger: “His father was a teacher at a church school. And there was his twin brother.”
(‘There was’…?)
Roger: “Ellis’ brother was in an accident when he was 10 years old and died two years later.”
Kate: “An accident…”
--Flashback—
Kate: “How did you get such a rare item just yesterday?”
Ellis: “I made it.”
Kate: “You made it!?”
Ellis: “A long time ago…I did a lot of research on them, so I remember how to make it.”
Kate: “Why did you do so much research? Was somebody hurt?”
Ellis: “Hmm? Oh… yeah.”
--End Flashback—
Roger: “And then, the same year that Ellis’ brother died--, a boy disappeared from the town.”
(…disappeared…)
Kate: “That’s…not possible…”
--Flashback—
Ellis: “Before I met Jude, I was living here and there.”
Ellis: “I happened to meet Jude when I came to London.”
--End Flashback—
Roger: “Maybe… it was Ellis?”
Part 3
(…disappeared)
Kate: “That’s…not possible…”
Roger: “Maybe… it was Ellis?”
(--His twin brother was in an accident, a boy disappeared two years after the accident, the year his brother died…)
Somehow, I stopped my imagination from spiraling in my head.
I wanted facts, not speculation.
Roger: “That’s all the information I could get from newspaper articles and police investigation reports.”
Roger: “I minor accident in a rural town, a typical disappearance of a runaway boy… no significant records left.”
Roger: “We don’t know what actually happened to the people involved.”
Roger: “Even when I asked Ellis, he said something like ‘It might make you feel sad.’”
Roger: “He won’t tell me.”
(…That’s typical of Ellis.)
Someone being sad for him—the exact opposite of making them happy is something Ellis would avoid.
That’s why the truth may only remain in the memories of the people involved.
Roger, who had been waiting silently for me to absorb the facts, took a deep breath and spoke.
Roger: “Our ‘curse’ is something we’re born with. That’s something I’ve learned is probably true from past records.”
Kate: “…?”
(He’s suddenly telling me about curses…?)
I had assumed the information he’d shared up until now had nothing to do with curses.
(Isn’t that right…?)
Roger: “But… I think the emergence of the cursed ability is triggered by some kind of event.”
Roger: “That’s probably what happens when you’re born with a cursed nature.”
Roger: “That’s what allows your cursed abilities to blossom.”
Roger: “It’s not so much a ‘tragic end’… maybe I should call it a ‘tragic turning point.’”
(“Tragic turning point”… an even that occurs because of being born with the cursed nature.)
Kate: “So… What happened in Ellis’ past that was that ‘turning point’?”
Roger: “Well, it’s only a ‘maybe’.”
Roger: “If we can record that in detail, it will be a good reference for the next cursed person being born.”
Roger: “‘Fairytale keeper’ truly is a meaningful job.”
Kate: “That’s true…I suppose.”
Kate: “But first, I need to know how to find out about this event.”
Seeing me tilt my head, Roger’s eyes suddenly lit up like a hunter who had found his prey.
Roger: “Is that so?”
Roger: “I was also looking for a reason to go looking for this ‘information’. This is perfect.”
Roger: “Alright little lady. As a fee for the information I’ve provided so far, please help me with my investigation.”
(Investigation?)
Kate: “Of course. But, how will I…?”
Roger: “Fortunately, Ellis’ parents are still alive. We can talk to them directly.”
(…! I see, Ellis’ parents… they’re ‘people involved’. Maybe they know something.)
What happened to Ellis?
A tragic turning point—
It may be the reason why Ellis locked his desires in a secret box.
A tower covered in thorns where you couldn’t even see the sky…I thought I could see a sliver of blue from there.
Kate: “Please let me accompany you.”
Roger: “That’s what I’m talking about. Why don’t you go get your ‘bodyguard’, okay? The one who isn’t Ellis.”
Part 4
--Before the sun rose, the ‘three’ left Crown Castle.
Ellis: “…Good morning. Oh, it’s just you this morning, Al? That’s rare.”
The faint scent of alcohol wafted through the dining room, which was unbecoming of a morning.
The shot glass with a lime in front of Alfons looked like a morning tequila shot to wake him up.
Alfons: “Ah, I’ve been waiting for you, Ellis.”
Alfons: “After having a night of fun and returning to the castle, I received a message from Jude and Roger.”
Ellis: “…Jude and Roger?”
Alfons: “Yes, they asked me to tell you when you came down.”
Alfons: “Roger said ‘I’m borrowing Kate and Jude for a few days.’”
Alfons: “Jude told me to tell you ‘Keep the business going while I’m not here’… Isn’t this a case of abuse of power?”
Rather than being worried, he said it as if he felt sorry for Ellis who didn’t resist.
Alfons stood up with his shot glass in hand.
Alfons: “Well, I’m going to sleep, so goodnight.”
Ellis: “…Hang on.”
Ellis: “Did Kate go… with the two of them for an overnight stay?”
Alfons: “That seems to be the case. Working in a group with that beast and cold-blooded man would only put your mind, body, and chastity in danger.”
Alfons: “Apparently it’s an important investigation for a fairytale keeper.”
Alfons: “Poor little robin… I’ll have to point at her and smile when she comes back after being properly trained.”
Ellis lowered his eyes and was lost in thought, as if the cheerful voice hadn’t reached his ears.
Ellis: “An important investigation…”
Alfons: “…Oh, Ellis, that’s a rare face.”
Alfons: “Did something happen with you and Kate?”
Ellis: “……No.”
Ellis: “No, nothing.”
Ellis himself didn’t seem to notice that his smile had lost its vibrancy,
Alfons frowned sympathetically.
Alfons: “…Hmm, what a scary face. This looks like something turbulent.”
Alfons: “When Kate and the others return, should the rest of us evacuate somewhere?”
--
--Meanwhile, another situation was about to begin.
William: “Vic, do you have a moment?”
Victor: “Of course! For you, I can make as much time as you want.”
William: “Just a short time is fine…It’s about the kidnapping case that Jude and the others solved.”
Victor: “Yes. Are there still remnants left?”
William: “Some of the gang members who were supposed to be in prison were released on bail.”
Victor: “…That’s not nice. If you let me know who the guarantor is—”
William: “They hate our ‘evil’.”
William: “They’re probably going to take advantage of Jude and Ellis’ feelings of revenge.”
Victor: “Those two wouldn’t make a bad move… The problem is…”
Victor: “Does the gang—do they know about Miss Kate’s existence?”
Victor: “The people who hate us… If the Privy Council finds out about Kate, she could become a target.”
William: “—As expected of the Queen’s aide. You know exactly what’s going on inside their minds.”'
William: “But, rather than taking action…it might be best to just watch, this time.”
Victor: “…You look like you’re thinking something bad. Care to tell me what it is?”
William’s glossy lips gently lifted—
William: “Day and night, life and death, there may be something that can only be confirmed in the space between them.”
Part 5
(There are no tall buildings and no loud noises…)
Looking up, the blue sky seemed endless, much wider than the city.
Ellis was born in a peaceful town.
It’s calm and comfortable, and full of greenery like Ellis’ room.
Roger: “…Gotta say, Jude I didn’t expect you to follow along so obediently.”
Roger: “Is it Kate’s influence? Or maybe you’re actually curious about Ellis’ past.”
Jude: “Neither. She’s agreed to work hard for me for three days and three nights after we get back to the Castle.”
Roger: “Little lady?”
Roger looked at me with a look of surprise and sympathy.
Kate: “All I could pay him with was labor…”
Roger: “Young lady, this guy is not the kind of guy you should just sign a contract with.”
Roger: “If he has you about to do something dangerous, tell me. I’ll help you if you cooperate with my research.”
Jude: “That’s more dangerous. Have ya forgotten how yer experimental drug made me vomit?”
Roger: “How many years ago was that? What a persistent guy.”
(From now on, I’ll try to avoid asking for help from either side as much as possible..)
(Still, I’m not sure if these two get along or not.)
I feel like they have some similar characteristics.
(…They both fundamentally refuse to compromise on their principles, etc.)
Jude: “What’re ya thinkin’ about, starin’ so rudely?”
Kate: “Huh!?”
Roger: “Huh? Do tell, what were you thinking, miss?”
(They’re pretty similar after all! I need to change the topic.)
Kate: “O-Oh! Isn’t that the church? Ellis’ father’s workplace!”
It was like when Ellis was pushing me in my wheelchair,
The church stood on the other side of a wide hill.
When I quietly entered the church, some sort of gathering was taking place—
(Oh…)
The man standing at the podium was a calm, middle-aged man.
He was tall, and I thought he had the same eye color as Ellis.
--Inside, a literacy class was being held for children around 10 years old.
Roger and I decided to wait in the pews until the morning class was over.
Jude didn’t want to enter the church.
(I wonder if Ellis sat here as a child.)
As I narrowed my eyes thinking that… the church bell rang, signaling the end of class.
The man who was teaching slowly walked over.
Older man: “Hello. Excuse me, were you looking to meet with someone?”
Roger: “Yes, excuse us, we are looking for someone. Someone with the last name Twilight.”
Older man: “If it’s Twilight, that would be me…”
(So this…this is Ellis’ dad after all?)
Roger: “I don’t like to be long winded, so I’ll just get straight to the point.”
Roger: “We came here because we wanted to hear about your sons.”
Older man: “…!”
The man gasped in genuine surprise and stared at Roger and me.
Kate: “I’m sorry for the sudden question.”
Kate: “…I want to know more about someone important to me.”

Exit Eddie Pursued By a Steve Part 2
As @a-little-unsteddie pointed out, I can't really call it one-shot Saturdays if it has more than one part (the tag made me laugh). But I'm not sure what to call it. It's essentially whatever story I have finished that isn't one of my big three (Well Met By Moonlight, Royal Pain, and Grief (A Friend Indeed)). Which would include one-shots, short stories (like this one) or long fics (like Find My Shade By the Moonlight, my Halloween one).
Part 1
****
“Holy fuck,” Jeff said. “He laughed at an Eddie-ism and not mockingly either.”
“His varsity ring,” Gareth replied numbly. “He gave Eddie his varsity ring.”
“That possessive draping his arms over Eddie’s shoulders...” Brian muttered.
Eddie just chewed happily on his pretzels as he watched his friends repeat all the things that Steve and he had done that morning.
“So...no broken hearts this fine Friday morning, is there?” he said into a brief lull in their retelling.
All three heads snapped his direction.
“How the hell did you manage to convince Steve Harrington to be your boyfriend?” Jeff asked.
“I really don’t think you want the play by play,” Eddie teased.
They all made gagging sounds.
Suddenly there were shadows standing above them.
Eddie looked up to see Tommy H, Carol, and about half the basketball team glaring at him.
“And how I can I help you gentlemen and lady today?” he asked, grinning around chewing on a pretzel.
“What did you do to Steve?” Tommy asked. “What spell did you use, man?”
Gareth snorted.
“This is serious!” Carol shrieked. “You tell your friend to undo whatever it was that he used to curse Steve.”
“Hon,” Jeff said with a raised eyebrow, “if Eddie could do magic don’t you think he would have magicked his way through school and not had to do a second time at being a senior?”
They all kind of looked at each other a moment before the muttering started.
Eddie just shook his head. “Maybe what swayed Steve was just good ‘ole fashioned being taken care of instead of having to take care of everyone else.”
He turned his head and could see Nancy and Jonathan close by listening to him.
“Because,” he continued a little louder, “if you lot had given as much of damn about him as he did about you, maybe I wouldn’t have had to adopt him like have all my other little sheep. So fuck off. And maybe ask Steve why he abandoned you lot.”
He waved them off and went back to eating his lunch.
*
Steve was showering after gym and could feel the eyes on him. He looked up to see that half of the boys showering were looking at him and the other half was avoiding his eye.
“Did theater turn you gay?” one of the guys asked.
Steve had give it to the kid for actually having the balls to say something. He sighed and turned off the water. “I like dicks and hard chests. I also like soft breasts and wet cunts. It’s not always an either or thing.”
Some of the guys started covering their junks and he laughed.
“Oh god, I don’t care about your dicks, for fuck’s sake,” he said rolling his eyes. He turned the water back on. “I’ve never looked at any of your scaly dicks. I can see how quickly you shower. I don’t need to look at your dick to know you didn’t wash it.”
Some of them ducked their heads as they knew he was talking about them.
“And don’t think for a second that I’m the only queer in this shower room either,” he continued. “You lot aren’t as slick as you think you are. Plus, what would I want with any of your dicks? Have you seen Munson’s? Take it from someone who has, it’s far superior to you lot.”
Steve finished up rinsing his hair and got dressed. The second he was out the door, the locker room erupted in a cacophony of gossip. He just shook his head.
*
Steve walked out to the parking lot where Eddie was waiting for him. He strolled right up to where his boyfriend was lounging against the driver’s side door of his van.
“Hey, honey,” Eddie greeted with a big smile. “Miss me?”
“Always.” Steve kissed him soundly.
Eddie pulled him closer to deepen the kiss, hands buried into Steve’s gorgeous locks.
When they finally broke apart, Eddie licked his lips. “Damn, Stevie, if you kiss like that all the time it’s no wonder all the girls are after you all the time.”
Steve draped his arms around Eddie’s neck. “Only you, sunshine.”
Eddie tucked his hands into Steve’s back pockets. “You got the play again tonight?”
Steve hummed. “And tomorrow, too.”
Eddie chewed his bottom lip. “I want you to meet my Uncle Wayne. Is it too soon?”
Steve shook his head. “I’d love to meet your uncle, baby. You just don’t want to meet my parents.”
Eddie pursed his lips. “You won’t get into trouble by dating me openly, will you?”
Steve shrugged. “I don’t honestly know. But it wouldn’t matter if I did. I’d pick you over those jackasses that haven’t been around much since I turned sixteen.”
Eddie hummed. “Okay, baby. I just want you safe.”
Steve kissed him. “Thanks for that. But I’ll be fine.”
“So I’m coming to the play tonight,” Eddie said, “all proper, with a ticket and everything.”
Steve raised an eyebrow. “You hoping for a repeat performance after last night, Eds?”
“And if I was?” he growled in Steve’s ear.
Steve giggled. “I have an outfit that I’m actually wearing at the end of the play that I think you’ll enjoy a little more than the ballgown, baby.”
Eddie’s nostrils flared in want. “Yeah, honey, we can do that.”
Steve kissed him deeply. “Can’t wait.”
“What time do you have to be here tomorrow for the play?”
“I have to be here at three, why?” Steve asked, rubbing his nose along Eddie’s.
“My uncle has work at two,” Eddie explained, “so why don’t you come over tomorrow for lunch and meet him.”
Steve kissed him fiercely. “Okay, sunshine. I’ll bring pizza, is noon okay?”
Eddie nodded. “I’ll see you then, princess.”
They finally broke apart and Steve walked back the school.
Jeff shook his head and clacked his tongue. “Dude that was the most disgusting display of affection I’ve ever seen. And you’ve met my parents.”
Eddie cackled. “Just wait boys, I have feeling we’re about to get so much worse.”
*
Eddie sat in the back of the school auditorium and grinned when Steve came out in a yellow robe over just a corset and pantaloons with stockings and kitten-heeled shoes for the scene with Cinderella trying on the glass slipper.
Eddie ran his tongue over his lips slowly. Steve had been right. The ballgown had been a treat, but this? This was the fucking main course.
He waited until all the other guys had filed out of the drama room to enter. He nearly growled when he saw Steve draped against the sofa dressed as he was in the play minus the silk robe. Which was fair. That was a lot harder to keep out of the way.
“Like what you see, beautiful?” Steve murmured. He rand his hands down the corset and Eddie growled. And then pounced.
Sex that time was different. Now that they both knew that they were on the same page, it was both more tender and a lot raunchier.
When they were getting dressed, Steve hummed.
“You know,” he said. “you really are good at making sure there isn’t anything on the clothes.
Eddie huffed out a laugh. “That’s because if you’re sneaking around and don’t want people to know, you learn real quick the art of not letting it show on the outside.”
Steve stopped what he was doing and walked over to him. He lifted his chin and gave him a deep kiss. “You’ll never have to worry about that unless you want to. Like tonight and last night. This is just a bit of fun, but...” he held up Eddie’s right hand that held Steve’s varsity ring, “this is a full on declaration, okay? I won’t ever hide that I’m yours.”
Eddie nodded. “You’ve got it, sweetheart.”
“Good,” Steve murmured. “I’m starving and Benny’s has pancakes on special on Fridays.”
Eddie laughed. “Yeah, baby, it’ll be my treat.”

I think Wyll is the most fun character to romance the other origin companions as
Karlach- i think they’re the most obvious because of the way their stories sort of dance around each other. Especially with how if you want to save Karlach while as romancing another character her best option is ending up going with Wyll anyways.
Shadowheart- gods favorite princess with everyone’s favorite prince ( I know he’s not actually a prince but he is in my heart ) their banter while walking around us some of my favorite in the game they make me giggle when they talk!! Wyll and Shadowheart both grew up with unsavory people pulling the strings and whispering in their ears and I think they would help each other remember they are not who controlled them. They also both have a deep understanding of rejection. At the end of the day I think they would make each other blush and that makes me blush!!!
Astarion- I’m not explain this one. Have you heard how they talk about each other? They’re smitten!! I think it was love at first sight for Astarion. I don’t care if you disagree argue with a wall.
Lae’zel- Ok this one’s interesting, I like them the best when it’s actually Lae’zel romancing Wyll. It’s established that githyankis value sex over emotion in their relationships because of the way their society is set up which makes me laugh because Wyll’s romance route is literally all emotion and very little sex lmao. This would confuse and frustrate Lae’zel because she feels things for him but she can’t tell that he’s also super into her. Like he’s saying nice thing to her that makes her feel???things???? but he won’t push it any farther so she’s like ok maybe he’s just really nice!! And then they kiss and ok they’re finally getting somewhere ! But oh that’s it?? Then why does she still feel so light and her heads spinning?? By the time she get to the end of Wyll’s route she’s fallen in love but has never even touched the guy and that’s not how that supposed to work? I think the back and forth she would go through would be sweet and funny and the idea of them makes me laugh.
Gale- Ok I lied I actually can’t stomach watching these two theater kids fall in love. They’re both so corny I think I would be vomiting by the end lmaoooo, but hey I’m willing to be convinced ;)
That’s all if you hated this I don’t care!

part two of jason todd head cannons or thoughts i have about dating him!!!
(scroll down for a little message from me☺️☺️☺️)
he is a theater kid i have always thought that and i’m so glad people are starting to think that
loves kissing your neck like you could be making dinner working on your laptop and he will come up behind you and his hands on your waist and just start kissing your neck and then start asking about your day i just know he makes you blush and he enjoys that
y’all have a personal book club and every month you read each other books you picked out and y’all talk about the books and have like cookies and tea maybe ( i personally only started reading jane austen for jason and i ended up loving her books so i have him to thank for getting me started reading her books)
jason gives me ravenclaw or slytherin vibes more ravenclaw i can’t decide yet
definitely keeps in mind of things you like and i’m not just talking about like your food or drink choices i mean everything a certain blanket you sleep with he will get it for you if you fall asleep on the couch your jewelry the ring you wear everyday suddenly your not wearing it he will ask where it is he knows you get headaches carry’s advil for you
he would most definitely get you a necklace with his initial on it “because i want to wear his initial around my neck not because he owns because he really knows me” if your a swiftie you will get this and it’s even better cause it’s the tiffany one that taylor has ( fun fact my mom has the tiffany necklace with my dads initial and it’s so cute)
shirtless jason we already talked about this but my god those abs they are quite literally the only thing i think about like imagine jason wakes up before you and lets you sleep in and you wake up and you wake up to him shirtless with grey sweatpants and your literally just like this 😮 like no matter how many times you have seen him shirtless he still gets you and he just smiles and finds it cute and you just get embarrassed before he tells you to come over and he moves you on his lap and just tells you how adorable you are and your all red and blushing
definitely loves physical touch it might have taken a while but once he gets comfortable he is kissing you and holding a 100%
if you’re like me who loves watching trashy reality tv like bravo, mtv, and tlc he might not get the hype but because he loves you he will watch it with you and i know he is secretly a vanderpump rules fan don’t even get me started
i also think that if you woke him up in like the middle of the night saying jay tapping he shoulder he would wake up thinking something is wrong but you are just looking at him with your gorgeous eyes saying you want a coke from the corner store he would sigh and get it for you because he loves you that much and would do anything for you and would come back with probably snacks because he knows you’re gonna want them and just smiles at you because he loves you and you give him the biggest kiss because he really didn’t need to wake up and get you this and i 100% think he would do this no matter how tired he is from patrol
also i would just like to thank every single one of you who have liked, rebloged my posts, or even commented i truly appreciate it and yall make me feel so loved and good about my shitty writing never did i think it would get over five likes so thank you so much!!

Haikyuu boys as love languages
Synopsis- Haikyuu boys as love languages (separately) featuring Shiratorizawa
Paring- Wakatoshi Ushijima, Tendō Satori, Semi Eita, Shirabu Kenjirō, Goshiki Tsutomu
Warning- cursing
——————————————————————-
Wakatoshi Ushijima -Acts of Service
———
Wakatoshi Ushijima is what some might say emotionally unavailable. And he’d agree, hes emotionally unavailable not an idiot. Because he knows his behavior hes ruled that doing acts of love for you will suffice showing his love and you agree. I feel like he doubles at acts of service. Like he’ll do something and then it results in you two spending time together or making plans to. He offered to plant, plants you love and you offered to help. He has a garden btw. He takes very neat notes so he’ll let you borrow them but he knows how you like highlighted notes so he’ll highlight key terms and stuff for you.
———————————————————————-
Tendō Satori - Physical Touch
———
Tendō was very touch starved before he met you so trust he’s catching up on all his physical touch with you. On top of him being a flirty person his physical touch ain’t just rainbows and kittens nothing super sexual though. Just making out here and there. He does love biting you, he doesn’t know why and neither do you. If your not comfortable with it that’s fine he won’t do it duh. Hand holding 247. One time Semi brought up you two dating and Tendō had the audacity to be confused when he never explicitly told the team yet except maybe Ushijima. Semi stared at him to see if he was joking. “You two literally are always holding hands, kissing and hugging I’m starting to think y’all are melting together the way y’all are on each other” Semi says rolling his eyes

Semi Eita - quality time
———
Semi loves spending time with you. His ideal date is definitely going to the movies. He refuses to watch a movie if it ain’t in the theaters. If you don’t have money at the time for it dw bbg he got you. He feels like it makes every movie better and he has a point. He won’t cry scream throw up if you just wanna watch a movie at home but you know he prefers to see it in theaters and you dont mind so y’all usually go. Your parents think it’s the cutest thing. Y’all go on other dates occasionally but movie dates are always something you can look forward to in y’all relationship.

Shirabu Kenjirō - gift giving
———
Shirabu gives the type of kid to get good asf grades and be rich but humble when it comes to money. Don’t get me wrong he’s still snobby but only stuff he achieved like grades and volleyball you feel me? With that being said he definitely spoils you. He buys his friends stuff sometimes if he knows they’ve been eyeing some shoes or something but being his lover is a whole another of gift giving. It was so bad at first that you had to tell him to tone it down on gifts or at least the prices. So instead he decided to listen to the second part of that statement. He doesn’t get you super expensive gifts anymore at least not as often. But he still buys you stuff. Like snacks, jewelry, and books/manga or whatever your into. He argues that he literally doesn’t use his allowance for anything else and it’s just sitting around. Don’t you dare let him see you glance at anything he’ll try to buy it. Mall dates have been band sorry. On the other hand he loves gifts too his only thing is he loves handmade or homemade gifts. Like if you make him a bracelet he’ll want to jump for joy but his nonchalant energy won’t let him

Goshiki Tsutomu - words of affirmation
———
Goshiki loves praise in all shapes and forms. Especially from his partner. If he does a powerful spike he’ll towards you for praise. Bonus if he has a pet name. It pisses his coach off but whatever makes the players happy. He loves complimenting you. He always somehow knows what to say. Hes a bit too shy for physical touch and he can do task but he’s not really good you fell me? He’s always playing volleyball so I guess that counts as quality time but no fr. He’d be pretty good at making gifts but like I said he’s married to volleyball and dating you :,) so he doesn’t have a lot of time for it. But he can always give you a compliment to hopefully brighten up your day and you can do the same

Sister Lovers, Water Brothers
Chapter 1: The Champion
Masterlist
Steve wasn't happy with the way Munson was treating one of his kids. So unhappy in fact, that he forces himself into their club leader's van to see what he's getting up to with Chrissy Cunningham, and maybe it's a good thing he's so paranoid because it might just save her life.
Or, the one where Chrissy doesn't die in the Munson trailer, and, despite the world-ending, the king(former) and queen(current) of Hawkins High cannot take their eyes off Eddie Munson
---------------
A.N. I co-wrote this with my roommate! We are going insane, it's gonna be along one so if you want to read on AO3 the link is below, just like and then head over :)
Read on A03
Greta, or Ms. G for those faint of heart, was running behind as expected.
Eddie was waiting for her outside the cafeteria, but the drama teacher was notorious for running late at almost any given moment. He didn’t mind waiting for Greta to finish up her last class to let him on stage, mostly for the fact she let them use the stage for Hellfire, but also hers one was one the few classes he’s managed to pass with an A.
“Don’t,” she emphasized her warning with a wrinkled finger, “touch the curtains. Any of the ropes for that matter. The trusses and the legs are all weighted and if you mess with them they could fall.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure the boys keep their hands to themselves.”
“I know, I trust you all, I just don’t want anyone getting hurt,” She waved him off and led him on stage, where she’d already cleared any of the theater’s work off to the sides. Pointing out a few for things not to touch and unlocking the lighting box.
He was not expecting, once she left him alone, for the cafeteria doors to bang back open only minutes later and for Steve fucking Harrington to clumsily push through the center of the curtains. As they fell back in place, he saw a glimpse of a girl lingering outside. What would the king be without a fan club?
“Don’t-” Eddie frantically reached up to stop him from fumbling with the fabric, trying to pull it closed behind him, but it was already too late. They both looked at each other waiting for the other to speak.
“Uhm, it's Eddie, right? Munson?”
Panicking at the sudden intrusion into his Hellfire set up he dipped into a half hearted bow, hands flourishing as they tended to when he was worked up, “‘Tis I.”
“I’m Steve.”
“Yeah I’ve got that much,” Eddie droned, when he didn’t say anything beyond introducing himself. “What are you doing here, man?”
“I wanted to talk to you…” Harrington ran a hand through his hair. His eyes bounced around the room, looking anywhere but Eddie, almost like he was nervous. “About Sinclair.”
“Lucas?”
“Yeah, look man, Dustin told me about the whole trying to find a sub for tonight but you gotta cancel, or at least let the rest of them make it too his game.”
“You want me to cancel?” Eddie laughed cruelly, arms crossing over his chest and pulling into himself only to push up into Harrington's personal space.
“For Lucas’s game, yes.”
“I’ve been working on this campaign for months! I’m not letting it go unfinished over spring break because Sinclair is a traitor!”
“So you know how it feels then?” Steve demanded, stepping back out of Eddie’s face to give the stance full effect as he leaned forward, hand on his hip, and glared with a force that could knock a weaker man down.
“What?” Eddie breathed, refusing to be that weaker man.
“He’s been practicing all year for this!” He shouted, bull dozing over Eddie's confusion, before cutting himself off. Taking a step back, he looked down at his shoes and mumbled “I wasn’t supposed to yell.” He let out a controlled breath then restarted, calmer. “ He’s been practicing all year. I helped him all summer get ready for tryouts. This is something he cares about and you are all mad at him because a schedule he did not make conflicts with your game,” Steve hissed out, one of his hands off his hip so he can wave a pointed finger in Eddie’s face.
“Well… he was supposed to be one of us, and now he spends half his time with douchebags that push his friends into lockers, and call us freaks!” Eddie pushed back, moving in tighter as he got louder.
“One of you, one of them, what does it matter?” Steve asked almost sadly, “He’s supposed to be your friend. He’s a kid, who doesn’t want to be treated like one of the freaks and wants to enjoy the game he plays with his friends, and you’re the only thing stopping him from having both. You, Eddie Munson,” Steve declares, the finger now solidly on Eddie’s chest a burning point of contact, “hater of conformity are forcing one of yours to… conform.” he finished lamely.
Eddie opened his mouth to argue that if Lucas just dropped the whole sports thing, they wouldn’t be having this problem, but Steve cut him off. “You think he’s going to want to keep playing with you if you keep treating him like this? It’s the big game, and you all are shitty friends for not showing up, I hope you know that.”
“It’s my last campaign,” Eddie said softly, feeling the fight go out of him.
“I hope no one shows up for you then, I’ll be cheering on Lucas.” Harrington shook his head and shot one last disapproving glance back at Eddie before turning on his heel and disappearing back around the curtain.
Through it Eddie could still hear Steve arguing with the girl that had been trailing after him.
“That was a little mean wasn’t it.” That must be the girl.
“He’s bullying Lucas!”
“You were a bully t-”
“Yeah thanks, Robin, I know but I’m not going to let him-”
“Yeah, yeah you gotta defend your kids.”
“They aren’t my kids I just-”
“They are too.”
“Are not.” “Are too.” They traded back and forth as they must have made their way up the aisle, and out of ear shot. Stumbling back and leaning on the set pushed to the edges of the stage, Eddie stood, still in shock with hands clasped over his mouth as he tried to process what had just happened.
The stage lights they used to during Hellfire meetings were off, leaving the fluorescent work lights glaring down on him. Under the acrid yellow, Eddie felt overexposed, even as he tucked himself smaller into the throne he commandeered from Mrs. Pearson’s last production– some Shakespeare thing he hadn’t bothered to go see.
The problem was, Eddie knew Harrington was kinda right. He was forcing Sinclair to choose between basketball and Hellfire, and there wasn’t really opting out of games for organized sports. He also felt stupid for not even thinking about seeing Lucas’s game, he’d just let the other boys bitch about him, probably not making it off the bench. When the hell had he become such a champion for cliques?
He sat there for god knows how long debating whether or not he could handle admitting Steve Harrington might have known better than him. He’d come to accept at some point in the last year that Steve might be an alright babysitter, but this… he didn’t know how to reconcile the image of Harrington from his glory days and this strange, caring, and awkward figure before him.
By the time the rest of Hellfire arrived, his legs were cramping from being curled in a ball, his ass was numb, nothing was set up, and the work lights were still on. He had made his decision.
“What the hell, Eddie?” Gareth asked, as their fearless DM sprung out of his throne, tripping and catching himself in a dance against gravity, before finishing with a sigh and a flourish.
“Gentleman, there will be no hellfire today,” Eddie announced solemnly, and already anticipating the club members' cries of despair kept talking over them. “Another great adventure awaits… in the gymnasium.”
“We’re going to the game?” Dustin asked as he arrived with Mike and another child wearing an American flag as a cape.
“Yes,” Eddie declared, a smug smile spreading across his face. “We’re going to support Sinclair.”
“My loser brother?” the child sneered.
“Who is she?” Gareth asked.
“Erica,” She answered for herself at the same time Mike and Eddie said “Lucas’s sister.”
“And yes,” Eddie continued, “Hellfire, and Lady Sinclair apparently, will be attending the game in support of our fellow adventurer.”
“But he never even makes it off the bench,” Mike whined, “and we brought a replacement, let's just finish the campaign.” Eddie, sick of all the talking, stepped up onto the table smoothly and stalked across to the gathering of nerds.
“Good luck playing without a dungeon master,” he shrugged, hopping off the other end, and pushing past the bickering crowd back into the hallway and out towards the gym.
He didn't make it very far before the rest of them were trailing after him, some content to go along with his scheming, others, namely Wheeler, still complaining about wanting to play all the way there.
Once they made it inside the crowded gym, Eddie could barely spot Steve in the sea of green and yellow, but Steve saw him right away.
The whole club came in together after the clock had been started and grabbed the closest seat they could find. Over the rising din of the crowd and the game picking up, Steve raised a hand to wave in recognition. Eddie ducked his head and nodded back subtly, hoping none of the guys noticed.
*
The final buzzer went off and the crowd erupted as the team picked up Lucas, lifting him above their heads to accept the cheers for his score. The band picked up the fight song, loud and fast, and eventually everyone was clapping along.
When the celebration died down the energy carried on as everyone picked up their own conversations, recounting the game and the winning basket as they rushed for the exits.
On his way to the locker rooms, Dustin managed to snag Lucas by the arm and pulled him into a hug even as he jumped around, babbling about how well he did. Eddie slapped him on the back, and told him it was a good game that it was nice to see him play.
“I didn’t think you guys would be here,” he said with a bit of awe, the adrenaline still running through him making everything more fantastical, “What about Hellfire?”
“We decided to wait for you,” Eddie shrugged, before moving out of the way to let the other members greet their star player; even Mike offered him a slap on the shoulder, mimicking their DM, and managed to not complain about postponing the game.
Eventually, the gathered crowd filtered outside, and began to dissipate as they piled into cars and made their way home. Groups of players and their friends lingered in the pools of light along the sides of the gym, waiting for the remainder of the team to make it outside.
The players and cheerleaders seemed to be debating who would be meeting up later, and who would be driving, while Steve tried to convince the gaggle of children that had ambushed him to find their own rides home.
“Get Nancy to take you home,” Steve waved toward Mike, already heading to join his sister.
“He had to be home five minutes ago,” Dustin rolled his eyes, like Steve should have all of their bedtimes memorized. “They don’t have time to drop me off, besides, looks like you’ve lost your date already.” The kid sounded almost scolding as he pointed out Steve’s failure to bring a girl home.
“She had her own ride, plus, I’m waiting for Robin,” He told Dustin for the third time, “Wasn’t your mom going to pick you up from dungeons and dipshits anyway?”
“Yeah, but you can just-”
“No! I told you, Robin has to change and deal with band stuff, so just go meet your… mom.” Steve’s voice trailed off as he watched Eddie wander away from the rest of his club, and gesture at someone coming out of the locker rooms, before turning back into the school.
A minute later, Chrissy Cunningham carefully made her way toward the far corner of the parking lot. Whenever the basketball team let out another loud whoop, she looked back nervously and pushed further from the few lights in the parking lot. Steve watched her path, trying to convince himself that she wasn’t headed for the black van parked by itself. Today might have been the first time he’d actually spoken to Eddie, but everyone knew that van. Sure there were the typical rumors about who to talk to for weed, where to find him, but recently Steve had gotten used to Eddie tearing out of the parking lot as Steve arrived to pick the kids up from Hellfire. Every time it made him wonder how Eddie wasn’t already deaf, from how loud his music was blasting even in the parking lot.
“Steve! Steve!” Dustin was screeching at him trying to get his attention, but he shoved past the kid, close on Chrissy’s trail.
The next time she looked back, checking to make sure no one near the gym had noticed her slip away, she did a double take as Steve came up next to her, just as she rounded the passenger side of the van.
“Hey Chrissy,” he greeted with faux casualty. “Crazy game right?” he laughed, letting her put space between them as she pulled her sweater closer around her, clearly off put. “You did a great job out there, you know, cheering everyone on.”
“Oh, uh, thanks Steve,” Chrissy shifted awkwardly, he hadn’t ever really spoken to her maybe in passing once or twice, but he had never approached her like this, “Thanks for coming.”
“Yeah, of course, Wouldn’t have missed it for the world,” Steve nodded, trailing off, “Huge night for the Tigers…uh Chrissy, by the way, where are you going?”
The question took Chrissy off guard, Steve seemed like a guy to mind his own business, this felt weird.
“Yeah, huge night…” She narrowed her eyes at him, trying to avoid the question.
“Yep…” He looked down at her awkwardly, “So, where ya going?”
“Why do you care?” Chrissy snapped, curling a lip at him.
“I don’t know, I mean,” Steve shrugged, heaving a sarcastic sigh, “Your boyfriend just won what was probably the best game of his career, and you're here, waiting like a puppy outside Eddie ‘The Freak’ Munson’s van.”
“What’s your damage, man?” Chrissy flinched, becoming overly defensive “I barely fucking know you, didn’t you graduate, like, last year? Leave me alone?”
“Chrissy listen, I really don’t think-”
“And I really don’t care what you think!” Chrissy half yelled, she ducked her head, glancing past Steve towards the crowds by the school, anxious about drawing attention.
“Please Chrissy I-” Steve tried to plead,
“Hey!” Chrissy’s view of Steve was obscured when Eddie reached the van, stepping between them, “She said fuck off,”
“Well,” Steve shrugged, taking a step back, “That’s not exactly what she said,”
“Jesus H. Christ Harrington, what is this fucking boner you have over me all of the sudden,” Eddie shook his head in disbelief, “Can you go back to ignoring my existence for like two seconds?”
Eddie turned, making a point to slam his shoulder into Steve as he did so, and opened the car door for Chrissy. She thanked him with a small nod and climbed into the passenger seat, fumbling awkwardly with the usually unused seatbelt.
Eddie left Steve fuming at the side of the van as he made his way to the driver’s side. He hopped into the seat, jamming the keys into the ignition and trying to stifle his irritation in front of Chrissy, worried about scaring her off.
Before he could put the van into reverse, the side door slid open with a bang.
“Nope!” Steve announced, climbing into the back and sliding the door closed behind him, “I’m coming with.”
“Like hell,” Eddie whipped around, genuinely too stunned at Steve’s brashness to react physically, “Get the fuck out.”
“No, no way, I don’t trust you!” Steve jabbed a finger at Eddie, crouching between the two front seats, “If you can’t do whatever it is you plan to with me around, probably shouldn't be doing it.”
“This is trespassing,” Eddie offered, still caught off guard, “I could have you arrested.”
“Yeah, okay” Steve reached under Eddie’s seat, snatching up a ziplock bag of weed, “I’m sure the cops would love digging through your van.”
Eddie huffed, quirking his jaw to the side in irritation as he gave in.
“I’m so sorry,” Eddie turned to Chrissy, soothing out the crease in his forehead, “If you want to do this another night…”
“No!” Chrissy interjected too enthusiastically, but she really felt like if she spent tonight sober she’d die, “I mean, it’s fine…. I really need this..”
Steve raised an eyebrow, at Chrissy, suddenly unsure of what he stepped into.
Eddie chewed his lip, he could see the desperation on Chrissy’s face. Fuck Harrington, Chrissy trusted him, he said he’d help her with this.
“Fuck it,” Eddie turned around and threw the van into reverse, “Buckle up Harrington.”
Chrissy sat back in the front seat, trying to stay out of view of the crowds in the parking lot. Eddie's reckless driving didn’t help keep eyes away from her as the Van sped through the parking lot, narrowly missing groups of highschoolers. When they were finally out of the post game traffic and away from the school, Chrissy let out a breath she didn’t know she was holding. She allowed herself to relax for a moment, forgetting about the uninvited guest in the back seat as she looked around Eddie's van. It was…dirty, but not gross, and she could tell that he had swept up the loose items he usually kept in the passenger seat into a lidless shoe box on the floor by her feet. A pair of old concert ticket stubs were pinned in the visor above her head. A chain hung from the rear view mirror, a heavy oval locket hung at the bottom, and a few hair ties were wrapped around the mirror as well.
Chrissy glanced over at Eddie, one wrist draped over the steering wheel the other arm leaning against the open window. The parts of his hair closest to the side of his face whipped around in the wind, glancing off his cheek as he nodded his head along to the music, Chrissy wondered what he’d look like with his hair pulled back.
Catching herself staring at him, she jerked her head away choosing to instead look at herself in the side mirror. She looked tired, not from cheering at the game or classes all day, but in a way that made her look close to death. Movement on her left pulled her attention away from her own grim reflection. Eddie leaned over, ejecting the tape in his radio. He opened up the glove box in front of Chrissy, tossing the tape in with the others.
“I’m sick of that album,” Eddie leaned back to his side of the car, he nodded towards the tapes in his glove box, “See if there’s anything you might like in there.”
Chriss hesitated for a moment before Eddie nodded at her again, encouraging her to look through them. She leaned forward, carefully sorting through the tapes, flipping them over and reading the names. Most of them were unrecognizable to her, the type of stuff Jason would call devil music. One stuck out to her though, the cover was unfamiliar, but she recognized the name.
She put the tape in and turned the volume down, unsure of what this would actually sound like. The radio whirred for a moment before the sound of guitar on the first song began to play.
“This is a good one,” Eddie laughed lightly, taking the case from her and looking at it, “This is Queen’s first album actually, their sound has changed alot since then. You listen to them alot?”
“I wouldn’t say… a lot,” Chrissy admitted, fidgeting with her necklace, “I used to listen to them more in middle school, but I haven't heard this one before. I think I like it though.”
“Yeah, it’s a good one.” Eddie agreed, “It’s been a while since I had it in, I’ll probably keep it on for a while…”
His words trailed off as he listened to the music. He nodded along to the beat, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel.
“Oh, you did really well at the game, by the way.” Eddie piped up, glancing over at her.
“You were at the game?” Chrissy was surprised he came and more surprised she hadn’t noticed him there.
“Yeah, of course,” Eddie threw a pointed glance over his shoulder at Steve, turning sarcastic, “Tiger’s big game, wouldn’t have missed it for the world.”
“I’m glad I went. Really!” Eddie offered up, worried the bite meant for Steve was coming off like he meant it for Chrissy, “You do that cheer thing, like, really well.”
“Thank you,” She liked that he seemed to appreciate her cheering, even if the rest of the school didn’t sometimes, “I’m glad you were able to make it to the game.”
“Yeah, of course.” Eddie nodded, chewing the inside of his cheek, “You’ll have to let me know what other things you cheer at, it was super cool, you looked great…”
“Oh, so you came to the game just to watch the cheerleaders?” Steve scoffed, “and now what you’re stealing Jason’s girl-”
Chrissy jumped, surprised at Steve’s sudden interjection. When she turned around to look at him, he was leaning forward in the tiny fold-down seat in the back of the van.
“Woah, woah!” Eddie laughed in disbelief, “First of all, you’re the one that coerced me into going to the game-”
“Cause you were being an ass to Lucas,” Steve sneered, but Eddie argued over him.
“And you might think that women are property, Harrington, but not all of us only talk to girls who’s pants-”
“Hey!”
“Thought, it’s not like you’ve been getting any recently anyway, if Henderson knows his shit,” Eddie half regretted saying it, only for the fact he was betraying Dustin's trust, but the way it made Steve turn a deep shade of red, proving the statement true, was worth it.
Chrissy watched the two bicker for a moment, confused as to whatever relationship they had. She assumed they had never had an interaction in their lives, but it seemed like they knew more about each other than just distant school peers. She turned away, deciding to be more interested in whatever was outside
The town of Hawkins whipped by the open window, suburban houses giving way to dense forests as they got closer and closer to Forest Hills. The town she spent most of her life in felt unfamiliar tonight, darker and colder than it should on a night in March. Then the scenery began to slow down, unblurring until everything was still as the van rolled to a stop.
Chrissy waited a beat and then, realizing the boy's argument had petered out, looked forward. Confused to see the straight road stretched out in front of them, no stop sign like she expected.
“What are we-” Chrissy began, stopping when she realized Eddie was no longer on the driver’s seat, “Eddie?”
She turned around in her seat, Steve also missing from where he just was. She unbuckled her seat belt, kneeling in the seat to look further into the back of the van.
“Eddie?” She waited a moment, “Steve?”
Nothing, just the gentle rumble of the idling van.
Chrissy opened the door, climbed out onto the street, and looking around. The road was empty, no sign of the boys she had just been in the car with less than a minute ago. She called for them again, feeling panic rise in her chest as she took a few hesitant steps in one direction and then the other. She could see the sign for the trailer park where Eddie lived up ahead, not far from where they stopped. She tugged the sleeves of her jacket into her palms, fidgeting with the fabric, unsure of what was happening but figured heading towards where people might be was a good idea. She was halfway towards the sign when an odd whirring started to ring out around her. Chrissy stopped standing still and tried to figure out where the sound was coming from. She turned to see that the van was gone and in the place where it had been she could make out the silhouette of someone sitting at a table. Chrissy took a few steps towards the figure.
“Hello?” Chrissy called out.
Something was wrong. This was wrong.
She walked closer, unsure of what else to do. The whirring got louder as she approached, she began to recognize the figure sitting at the table facing away from her.
“Mom?” Chrissy asked, confused as to why her mom was set up and sewing in the middle of Kerley at 10:30 at night.
“Just loosening this up for you sweetheart,” It was her mothers voice, but something was wrong. It didn't sound like her at all, “You’re going to look…absolutely beautiful.”
Chrissy took a step closer, reaching out to put a hand on her moms shoulder when her mom turned around in her chair. Except it wasn’t her mom at all, it was a horrible and distorted version of her mom. Chrissy screamed at the sight of her mothers glazed over eyes and rotting smile.
She turned to run down the street, towards the trailer park and away from whatever this was. When she turned, though, she was no longer on Kerley in the middle of the night, instead she was in her own home. She was on the 2nd floor landing, right outside her own open bedroom door. She began to pant, her heart beating faster than it ever had as she felt the presence of something bad behind her. Coming for her. Calling for her.
Chrissy took off, sprinting down her stairs, taking them two at a time as she ran from whatever it was that was after her. She nearly tripped as she reached the bottom of the stairs. She looked around, hoping to see anything that felt right. Down the hall Chrissy could see her father sitting in his usual chair in the family room, the glow of the tv lighting up the room around him.
“Dad!” She shouted out, running to him like she was a little girl again., “Dad?”
When she reached him though, like her mom it wasn’t him. He turned in his chair to look up at his daughter, but his eyes and mouth were sewn tightly shut. Chrissy screamed jumping back as he struggled to speak, thrashing in his seat. Chrissy didn’t know what else to do but to run, she headed towards the front door. She couldn't help but to stop and gag when she reached the large dining room of her house. The long table that was rarely used was covered in plates and platters full of slimy rotting food covered in thousands of spiders. Chrissy choked back the bile in her throat and sprinted past. She could still feel the presence of whatever was hunting her not far behind.
She reached the front doors with a bang as she fell into them. Chrissy wasted no time in throwing open both doors. Her heart sank at the sight of heavy boards crossing in front of the exit. Blocking her only way out
“No… no!” She screamed, slamming her shoulder into the wood, she screamed as loud as she possibly could, “Help! Please somebody help!
She could hear the pounding of footfalls approaching her. She continued to slam into the door, watching behind her as a tall figure stepped into the archway of the main hall. Slowly her struggle came to an end as a rough voice called out to her.
The almost human figure in front of her was grotesque. Tall and distorted with glazed over eyes and thick tendrils running all over its body like roots. With the light reflecting off its wet skin Chrissy could see the roots move over his body, like a separate alive entity. Its feet squelched into the hardwood with each heavy step. It approached her slowly as she whimpered against the wood, pressing herself as far back into it as she could praying to a god she had never believed in to save her.
“Don’t cry, Chrissy.” It spoke, coming closer and closer. She couldn’t respond with anything aside from more fearful cries.
“It’s time for your suffering…” It was right in front of her now, close enough she could smell the earthy wet mildew scent radiating from its body. Slowly it raised a hand, its horrifyingly long fingers stretching out to hover over Chrissy’s face, “to end.”
Chrissy whimpered, doing her best to prepare herself for whatever hell she was about to enter. She did what she had done years ago when she pictured her own death, she dragged the good stuff to the front of her brain. She had always known that whenever she died, however she died, whether she wished it upon herself or not, she’d want the good things to be the last things she thought of.
She thought of her dad, of him helping her practice cheers and taking her out for ice cream afterwards. She thought of her brother, who had made it a point one summer to have breakfast ready every morning for Chrissy when she came down from her bedroom before going to her summer job and driving him to baseball camp. She thought of her friends on the cheer team, how much she loved being an athlete with them. She thought of Jason, how nervous he was to ask her to homecoming freshman year with a bouquet of flowers that made him sneeze in the middle of asking her. She even thought of Eddie today, the way he was the first person her age that actually noticed her in months. How he did his best to make her laugh earlier that very day. Her last day.
Chrissy could swear she could even hear him saying her name… calling her name. And she could hear a song she would never be able to name, but was sure she listened to as a kid with her father.
“Once I believed in everyone.” She could hear it faintly, far away accompanied by the muted strum of a guitar and then the beat of a drum as the voice sang on, “Everyone and anyone can see.”
She recognizes the voice, understanding now that it was the Queen tape Eddie had let her put in his radio.
“Oh, oooh, the night comes down,” Chrissy felt the world fall away, thinking about the unknown feeling of dying as she tipped back and fell into the music…
*
In the rearview mirror, Eddie looked back to see Steve pouting down at his clenched hands. He was embarrassed, but took the time to calm himself and spoke softer, but still aggravated,
“Look man, I don’t trust you. Dustin might think you’re hot shit, but I’m not about to trust a drug dealer that hangs out with a bunch of kids, and makes off with the queen bee in dark parking lots.” Steve gestured at Chrissy, where she was keeping out of their admittedly petty argument. “What are you two up to anyway? You still haven’t answered me.”
“None of your business,” Eddie half-heartedly threw back, pulling his gaze in front of the road to look over at Chrissy. She’d been scared enough earlier in the woods alone, so he was sure that she was uncomfortable with Harrington sticking his big head where it didn’t belong. In trying to stay out of the argument she’d crammed herself as close to the window as she physically could.
“I really want to like you, Munson. I do!” Steve continued, frustrated and gesturing in a way that if they weren’t stuck in the van Eddie was sure it would have been accompanied by pacing. “The kids seem to trust you, even if it is just because you lead their little game club, but I don’t know, man, it’s like you want to look like a bad guy- with the leather and the chains, and the loud music. And what am I supposed to think?”
Eddie was only half listening to Steve’s rant, instead focused on Chrissy, who had gone eerily still.
“Harrington, shut up a second would you?” He said and reached for Chrissy’s shoulder. He was sure to telegraph the movement, but she didn’t jump like she had been all day. In fact, she didn’t react at all, even as he shook her gently.
“Don’t tell me to shut up, I’m trying to”
“Harrington!” He insisted, using his momentary shock to address Chrissy without Steve babbling, “Hey, Chrissy? You okay?”
“What? What’s wrong?” he questioned, trying to lean up between their seats, but Eddie's arm was still in the way.
“I don’t know man, maybe she’s passed out?”
“Chrissy? Chrissy you awake?” Steve tried, shaking the passenger's seat. “Did you give her something?” He accused when she again did not react.
“You got to her first? When would I have given her something?” Eddie asked, offended at the notion.
“I don’t know! Look, just-” Steve caught a glimpse of Chrissy’s eyes in the side mirror, they were rolled back in her head and almost looked like they were flickering. “Shit, pull over. Pull over!”
“What? What’s going on?” Eddie tried to get a better look but was forced to return both hands to the wheel as he stepped on the gas, getting them the final half block to his trailer and skidding into their gravel driveway. Not bothering to shut off the van, he unbuckled himself and leaned in front of Chrissy, pulling her away from where she was slumped in the door. “Chrissy! Chrissy wake up!” He tried shaking her more, but nothing was working.
“Shit, is she having a seizure?” Steve asked before deciding it didn’t matter what was happening but he had to do something. “Unbuckle her.”
Eddie frantically jabbed the button until it released and she finally began to move. For a moment a brief wave of relief passed between them, but she still wasn’t awake. Her eyes continued to blink and twitch rapidly as her head tilted back and she began to hover over the seat.
“What the fuck?!What the fuck?!” Eddie shouted, hands outstretched wanting to help, but clueless and scared.
As if suspended by invisible strings she lifted toward the cabin roof, the seat belt still tangled around her provided some resistance, but the thing lifting her was stronger. The light flickered wildly. Rather than shutting off the intensity and frequency seemed to build indefinitely heightening the chaos of the situation. Continuing to rise, Chrissy slid free of the seat belt, her head threatening to reach the ceiling as both boys frantically racked their brains for something helpful. Eddie was mostly trying to form words, make sense of the scene before him, and keep from screaming, but Steve knew better. He was used to seeing weird shit like this, and he thought he'd gotten pretty good at dealing with upside-down crap at this point.
The problem was nothing was attacking Chrissy, she was just slowly hovering in the car and it would be peaceful if it weren’t for the aching feeling of dread filling the air. Steve collected himself enough to move his hand between the crown of her head and where she was now pressing into the car. Eddie moved to stop him, still unsure of what his intentions had been all night long, but when Chrissy pressed harder and harder into the van ceiling he relented. He just hoped Harrington didn’t get his hand crushed.
“The heat!” Steve shouted suddenly, waving wildly with his free hand for Eddie to move. "They don’t like the heat, turn it up!”
“What!? They!?” Eddie struggled to look past Chrissy floating between them, her shoulders now hunching to bring her closer against the roof.
“Don’t ask, just do it!” Steve pushed, unable to reach up and do it himself. From the driver seat, it was muscle memory to flip the heat and fans all the way up, as he did so often during the winter, but the motion suddenly felt foreign to Eddie. Hot air blasted him in the face even as it was contracted by the cool night air coming in through the open windows.
“What the hell is that going to do?” Eddie asked, figuring he wasn’t wasting time anymore as the both desperately grabbed Chrissy and tried to drag her back down.
The voice on the radio continued to sing on, accompanied by drums and guitars, though it was undercut by the lights still buzzing and flashing rapidly and the now loud fans whirring over the van's engine. Chrissy pressed harder against Steve’s hand and bent so that her shoulders and back were pushing against the thin ceiling threatening to dent it outward. Both boys were yelling desperately, begging Chrissy to wake up, to give any sort of indication that she was still there. Everything is built higher and higher. It felt like any moment the van would give out with the pressure of it all. Steve winced as his fingers bent uncomfortably, and then it all came crashing down.
It was only a short fall, but Chrissy’s legs caught on the seat and slid awkwardly back to the floor as Steve and Eddie’s desperate pulling finally gave way, forcing her down into the seat.
Chrissy gasped as her back hit the seat, nearly knocking the wind out of her as she frantically looked around. She was back in Eddie’s van, parked in front of what she assumed was his home. Hot air blew on her face as she began to hyperventilate and cry. She realized that Eddie and Steve were also back with her. Eddie had a hand twisted in the front of her sweater, the other wrapped around her forearm and Steve had a heavy hand pushing down on her shoulder.
They sat like that for a beat, all of them shaking as Chrissy sobbed. Steve took his hand away, sitting back on his heels as his mind raced. Eddie removed the hand still clenched around the font of her clothes and dropped his grip on Chrissy’s arm. Without thinking, Chrissy snatched his hand back, still shaking as she held onto him.
Eddie remained a cord of tension. Though he returned the grip Chrissy had on his hand, the other went back on the steering wheel as if the car might take itself out of the park and try to crash them into his house. Steve honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it did.
From behind his curtain of tangled hair Eddie started up a steady chant of “fuck fuck fuck, what the fuck man,” until he was turning around to scream at Steve, “What the fuck!”
“Shut up!” Chrissy cut them off, trying to take a deep breath, wiping away the tears with her free hand. The sensory overload that was his car finally got to Eddie. He shut off the engine, cutting off Freddie Mercury mid-lyric, killing the hot air still blasting from the vents and regretfully taking his hand away from Chrissy’s. The silence settled over them, as they tried to separately piece together what had just happened.
“That was normal right?” Eddie asked, unable to move, even to look away from the wheel. “That was a normal seizure, and nothing weird happened. You weren’t floating, and my wiring is just shit-”
“No man, I don’t think so,” Steve shook his head, trying to shake a cohesive thought together. He let out one “Shit!” punctuated by his hands punching into Eddie's chair, before searching for his bag in the dark, only to realize he’d left it in his own car.
“What is going on dude?” Eddie asked with a warning tone, looking to Chrissy for answers but she shook her head.
“I don’t know what that was. I- it’s happened before, hearing things, but that- Was I floating?” They both turn to Steve waiting for an explanation he didn’t feel like he had.
“Look,” he sighed, running a hand through his hair, “I know some things, but I don’t know what that was. The floating is new, it always has to be something new.” He started to trail off, mostly talking to himself under his breath, “Give me the dogs again, I can hit the dogs or burn shit, or punch a Russian.”
“Harrington, It’s starting to sound like both of you are losing it,” Eddie observed, panic rising in his voice again.
“I’m not crazy! There’s just like…magic… in Hawkins,” He attempted to explain, ignoring Eddie’s bafflement. “Well it’s not magic, there’s this girl with superpowers but she lost them, and I just need my walkie, we’ve got to tell Henderson.”
“Henderson! The child?” Eddie screeched, making Chrissy flinch again, leaning closer against the door. “Sorry, sorry” he breathed, raising his hands and shrinking into himself, making himself smaller and giving her room. “I just- what’s Henderson got to do with Chrissy having a seizure?”
“I would also like to know,” Chrissy interjected.
“He’s the one that got me dragged into all of this. It started when Will Byers went missing. Remember with the fake body and stuff?” They both nodded, how could anyone forget? “But you said this happened before Chrissy?” He continued,” Seeing things?
She nodded shakily, “just the past few days, but it's…been getting worse. That’s why I was- Eddie was going to…” she trailed off, unable to meet their eyes.
“You were seeing things, and decided drugs would help?” Steve condescended.
“Fuck off, man,” Eddie bit, and pushed Steve over where he was squatting between their chairs, leaving him sprawled in the back of the van and offering Chrissy some space. “Who the hell are you to judge?” Properly scolded, Steve ducked his head and mumbled an apology, but Eddie had already refocused on Chrissy. “What have you been seeing?”
“I was hearing my mom mostly,” she admitted, “But there was this clock? In the woods behind the school, I saw a clock in a tree and spiders came out of it. But this time was different. I wasn’t just seeing, or hearing something that wasn’t there, I thought- it felt like I was in my own house, and I could see it all so clearly.”
“What about vines?” Steve rejoined the conversation, having righted himself, “Any sort of creatures, or particles? Like in the air?”
“No, nothing like that,” Chrissy shook her head, brow furrowing as she tried to recall details. In the moment she had been too terrified to notice anything that detailed, but she tried to explain anyway, “I was on the road, but it turned into… my house? It was like a nightmare, but it was so real.”
She paused for a moment trying to organize her thoughts before speaking, “And my parents were there, but it was wrong. Like, my mom wasn’t my mom and my dad’s face was…”
She choked back a sob thinking about the grotesque version of her parents, “And I was being followed by… Something else? It was shaped like a human, but it was more like an alien or something. It was so tall and it had these roots,” She turned to look at Steve, “I guess they could have been vines, they were all over its body and they were moving like they were alive. I couldn’t get out of my house, I was trapped there, even when I got to the front door it was, like, boarded up. And this thing it was… calling to me?”
She looked up at Eddie, both boys waited for her to continue, “It said that my suffering,” another sob caught in her throat, cutting her off, “my suffering would end… It was so awful. I… I can’t… I don’t…”
Eddie squeezed her hand as she tilted forward and tried to stop herself from crying, her other hand covering her mouth. Steve put a hand on her shoulder, trying to do anything to calm her down.
“That… I’m sorry, that could be something, but I have no idea what it could mean,” He took his hand away and rubbed his forehead as if he could get rid of the stress lines growing there. Then something must have come to him because he looked up at both of them with horror. “I forgot Robin.”
*
Steve’s car was the only one left in the lot. The lights on the outside of the school were still on, thankfully, but even the janitor had locked up and gone home.
Robin sat on the hood of the Beemer, playing a game of tic tac toe with herself in the dust, not caring what Steve would say, because he had left her at school! It was almost ten, and she didn’t have any quarters left for the pay phone, so she was stuck waiting, hoping that whoever stole her ride home would return him.
Sooner or later she would probably have started the long walk home, trumpet case as her only self-defense, and brave the lecture from her mom for being out so late. Fortunately, a black van came careening into the parking lot, not one minute after she finished filling another grid with no winner in sight. When it came to a stop next to her, She caught sight of Eddie Munson in the driver's seat, before her traitorous best friend came tumbling out of the side door.
“Where the hell-” She started to yell, sliding down the hood and dropping to her feet.
“We’ve got a code red,” He interrupted, grabbing her by the shoulder as if trying to physically hold her gaze and force her to take him seriously. “At least I think we do?”
“And you left me alone?! In the parking lot! To what? Fight another hell beast with Munson?”
“Hey, Robin,” the aforementioned Munson waved unsurely, before skirting around the van to open the passenger side door and help Chrissy Cunningham down.
“Look, I didn’t mean to leave you I just- Eddie- Fuck.”
“Steve-o here ditched you because I looked ‘kinda creepy’ and couldn’t be trusted with Chrissy,” Eddie informed her, crossing his arms and looking between the two of them for their reaction.
“And it’s a good thing I did!” Steve threw his hands up, exasperated.
“What is happening?” Robin whispered to herself as the strange trio came together before her. Eddie and Steve were still unsure of each other, carefully watching each other, while Chrissy kept Eddie between her and Steve.
Robin let out a panicked sigh, “Okay, what are we dealing with? Cause I need to be home,” she pretended to think and glanced down at her wrist, “twenty minutes ago, so if we need to save the world again we better do it quickly.”
“Save the world?” Chrissy piped up, moving out of Eddie's shadow.
“Mostly our own asses,” Steve corrected, earning himself a slap on the arm. Robin rolled her eyes as Steve rubbed at his arm.
“That’s for abandoning me!” She reprimanded, then turned to Eddie and Chrissy. “This one’s useless, so tell me what happened, and quickly! I want to get out of this stupid parking lot, it’s giving me the creeps.” She gave a full body shiver to sell it.
The two of them did their best to summarize the strangest car ride of their lives, with only minor interjections from Steve, and Chrissy tried to explain the recent episodes she’d been having. Eddie’s half-panic dramatic reenactment of Chrissy floating inside the van was more amusing than helpful, but it got them all to smile, and it gave him a break from anxiously twisting his rings and pulling at his hair while Chrissy described the horror show that had taken place in her head.
The whole time, Chrissy remained pretty much glued to Eddie’s side, though it seemed like she was warming up to Robin. She pointedly ignored Steve.
“The man, monster, thing, he had his claws around my face, grabbing me, and then it was like he pushed me backward, and I fell back into my body after I heard the music- Eddie's tape was still playing and I could hear it right before I woke up.”
“So what, the monster is some guy this time?” Robin asked.
“I mean we fought literal caves once so a guy would-”
“He wasn’t just a guy,” Chrissy interjected before their bickering could escalate, “You mentioned vines earlier? He looked like he was covered in vines, or made of… veins, and really gross. Just, wet and almost decaying.” She curled in on herself at the recollection, and Eddie wiped at his arms as if shaking off bugs, and hopped closer to her.
They stood there for a moment, unsure about what to do next. Robin broke the silence.
“So… Now what?” She asked, looking around at the odd little group, uncomfortable with the silence.
“What do you mean?” Chrissy asked, looking over at Robin.
“Chrissy, you were just, like, possessed, or something,” Robing waved her hands around to make a point, “And we’re just gonna go home? Kick back and have a post-possession beer?!”
“No, no you’re right.” Steve groaned, rubbing the bridge of his nose, “Chrissy shouldn’t be alone. What if it happens again.”
Chrissy frowned, looking down at the ground and trying to stifle her panic. Blinking back tears at the idea of going through that again.
“No, no that’s not happening again,” Eddie cut in, noticing Chrissy’s anxiety.
“You can’t guarantee that man,” Steve shook his head at Eddie, looking sorry.
“Then,” Eddie floundered for a second, trying to think of something, “Then, I’ll stay with her! I’ll stop it if it happens again.”
“You have no idea how-” Steve started.
“The heat, right?” Eddie cut him off, almost pleading, “The heat makes it stop?”
“You barely held it together the first time!” Steve argued, a hand on his hip, “Do you really think you’d be able to help her?”
“Hey, man, that was-” Eddie jabbed a finger at Steve, getting irritated.
“Hey!” Robin shouted, cutting Eddie off and making both boys look her way, “How about we all stick together? Me and Steve have handled stuff like this before, and Chrissy clearly trusts Eddie to some degree, so… let’s stay together?”
“Do you want to do that?” Eddie asked, looking down at Chrissy by his side.
“I don’t want to be alone,” Chrissy said. She opened her mouth to say more but stopped.
“It’s settled then!” Robin clapped, “Let’s head to Steve's house!”
“My house? Why my house?” Steve turned to Robin.
“Because you have the biggest house and no parents to freak out about whatever exorcism shit we might have to do.” Robin was already headed around the side of Steve’s car to the passenger seat.
“That’s fucked up and you know it,” Steve pointed a finger at Robin, who just shrugged and pulled on the door handle in response.
“Just follow us!” Robin shouted towards Eddie and Chrissy over the top of the car before getting in.
Eddie and Chrissy stood there for a moment, taken off guard by Robin's quick decisions. He looked down at her, raising an eyebrow.
“Do you think this is a good idea?” He asked, looking down at her and raising an eyebrow.
Chrissy shrugged, “Do we have a better option?”
